DIY Beauty

Organic Dry Shampoo
6 drops lemon oil
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp arrow root powder

1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients together, mashing any lumps with a spoon.
2. If you have dark hair, add two tablespoons of cocoa powder, so it blends with your strands better. Then add lemon oil and stir.
3. Pour the mixture into an empty salt shaker, so it’s easy for you to apply directly to your roots.

Citrus Face Cream
¼ clementine
1 tbsp sour cream
½ tsp flour
1 tsp rose oil

1. Start by peeling and deseeding a tangerine or clementine.
2. In a blender, combine citrus slices, sour cream, flour, and rose oil. Mix on low for about two minutes until it’s totally smooth.
3. Store cream in the fridge. After cleansing in the AM, massage a few dabs onto your face for soft skin.

Customized Face Powder
2 tbsp. cornstarch
½ tsp cinnamon
cocoa powder

1. In a bowl, pour in two tablespoons of cornstarch - this will act as your base.
2. If you have sensitive skin, test the cinnamon on the back of your hand and wait 24 hours before adding it to the mixture. The cinnamon has a yellow undertone that will cover up any redness in your complexion.
3. Add a few pinches of cocoa at a time until the mixture matches your skin tone. If you go too dark, just add a bit more cornstarch to even it out. Then use a fluffy brush to apply.

Eye Gloss
Make eye sparkle and shine with just a few drops of baby oil. Stir together a little bit of fave loose powder shadow with baby oil. Argan oil works too. Then apply to your lids with a brush for a dewy look.

Shimmery Polish
Save those last few drops of your clear top coat and create a custom shade! Start by pouring top coat into the lid of your shadow pot, then sprinkle eyeshadow on top. Use your polish brush to mix together and paint directly onto nails.

Natural Hairspray
Give your hair shine and hold without any crunchiness. In a mixing bowl, combine a tablespoon of honey with a cup of boiling water. Stir and let the mixture cool down in the fridge before pouring into a spray bottle.

Berry Lip Stain
Make a lip shade that tastes as good as it looks! Mix together a packet of cherry Kool-Aid with a tablespoon of Vaseline. When applied to your lips, the sugar balm turns a fiery red that will stay put all day.

Your Lushest Lashes
1. Curl - make sure every lash gets curled with a mini curler. Clamping small sections, start at the inner corner of your eye and work your way across.
2. Apply - enhance your curl with mascara! Hold the wand close to your lashline and wiggle it as you pull it through. Do two coats.
3. Thicken - boost your roots! Put mascara on the tip of a fan brush, then dab the brush along the base of your lashline to give the illusion of even thicken lashes.
4. Separate - using the tip top of the wand, lightly separate the bottom lashes by dabbing on mascara. Let dry before blinking to prevent smudges.

Make your lips pop - swipe on concealer before lipstick. It makes the color more vibrant
Fake perfect skin - score a picture perfect complexion even if the lighting in your room is blah! All you need to do: dab luminizer on cheeks, chin, nose and forehead - it will diffuse light to give you a pretty radiance.
