September 2020 Haul Part 2!

Ahh, my favorite season is almost here! I love the fall. I can't wait to snuggle under a blanket, drink a nice warm drink with a book. Oh, I am counting down the days. I got quite a few products that were a little pricey but, I thought why not splurge.

I love BioBelle masks and got a few more different varieties that I didn't try before. I am a big fan of Marc Jacob and have a few of his makeup but, this is my first skincare item from him. I hope it lives up to the hype. I got a few Earth Harbor skincare treatments. To be honest, I liked the simplistic packaging and that was the main reason I bought them. I never heard of the product before buying it.

I also got a few Tarte lip products and Fenty Beauty lip products. I heard some great things about Fenty Beauty products. I am very excited to try them. I have tried some of the L'Occitane products but, this the first time I tried their oil cleanser. I also got a few new moisturizers that I am excited to try and it's the perfect weather for new cream!

August 2020 Haul!

Ahh, my favorite part of the month is when all my orders come! I love getting new things and trying them. I bought a few new lip glosses (no big surprises there) from Tarte. I love the twist cap application but the product does get depleted quickly. I bought a few hair products because my hair is growing really long and while it's getting on my nerves, I need to take better care of it. I bought a new scalp scrub and hair mask I am excited to try. I am excited to try this new topcoat that smells like black cherry vanilla from Leesha's Lacquers. I finally have more time to do my nails! I also got some more face sheet masks to replenish my stock. I am still trying to do 3 masks a week. So far, some weeks have definitely been better than others.

June 2020 Empties!

Here are all my empties for the last two weeks! I finished a lot of masks and skincare. That one blush I was on the finishing state for the last 4 months. The product I enjoyed was the Tatcha Water Cream. My skin just drank it up and left my skin feeling so soft. The I Dew Care and the Bubble T masks were among my favorite because my skin was visibly improved.

I thought the Glow Recipe mask was a bit overrated. It smelled nice but, honestly, I don't think it was worth the $8. I feel like it was more of a mask to provide a cooling relief than any hydration benefit. I wasn't crazy over the Margot Elena cream tin because it was a bit greasy and apparently if you don't use don't it within a 1 month of opening the cream changes color and becomes dense gooey texture.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts!

Here is the list of stuff I finished!

Tarte Apple of My Eye Eyeshadow Palette

The Tarte eyeshadow quad is composed of four eyeshadows with apple-related names such as golden delicious, caramel, gala, and Honeycrisp. There are two matte colors and two shimmers. The palette colors can be used for a subtle look or a dramatic natural look. I felt like the pigment was a bit weak and felt very talc-y/chalky.  Not my favorite palette but, I did like the shimmery gold colors.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Yaass

The full coverage is formulated without parabens and phthalates. A creamy pigmented lavender lip paint. The matte liquid lipstick went on smoothly and lasted two hours including, drinking and eating. I love how creamy and luxurious went on and the beautiful lavender shade.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Fanciful

I recently found this limited edition blush in my collection and thought I would add it in rotation. Granted, I haven't even a dent in any of my currently 30 open blushes -- but one has to treat themselves, right???

Like the other Tarte blushes, this one is also infused with Amazonian clay that was naturally baked by the sun. It promises a 12 hour fade free finish and with a wide range of finishes such as satin, shimmer, and matte. The dermatologist tested blush is formulated without parabens, triclosan, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten.

Unlike a few other blushes I have tried, this blush has a more powdery/chalky texture. It didn't last a full 12 hours on me and while it has a nice  matte pinkish mauve color, I had to really blend it in to avoid a chalky look.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Enthused

The solar baked natural clay blush promises 12 hours of coverage. The Amazonian clay reduces oil around pores to keep the product lasting longer. The clay's nourishing and hydrating properties help restore skin's moisture. The color reminds me a bit of Stila's Kitten but without the summer. It has a bit of a sand color. I also don't notice the blush lasting 12 hours. The color kind of washes me out and I will probably use this as a highlighter or as an eyeshadow.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Thankful

I got this limited edition blush when I purchased the Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set Holiday set.  The blush is a bright golden apricot pink. It has a satiny finish and doesn't have much glitter or gloss.  This blush is high pigmented and a little goes a long way. While, this is particularly favorite color (I tend to like really bright reds), it does give my cheeks a nice healthy glow.

Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Lipstick - Inspired

The neutral lipstick is a soft beige color and is packed with clay and natural butters like mango, avocado and shea. The lipstick promises to provide rich, vivid and long lasting color. The lipstick went on smooth and felt creamy. Personally, the color was not my favorite.  I was looking for a neutral color but this matched my natural lip color to well. And it didn't last very long. I had to reapply quite often.
