Bonvivant Illuminator Whitening Water Gel Mask

The clear water gel has a pudding consistency that promises to hydrate dry skin. It is enriched with daffodil root extract and alogwhite extract. The water gel mask went on smoothly and left my skin radiant without any sticky residue. I usually use the mask overnight and wash off in the morning and I noticed how different my skin feels and looks in the morning.

Book Review: Beautiful Animals by Lawrence Osborne

Naomi is the only child of a wealthy British art collector and her family routinely vacations in the Greek island of Hydra. One day, Naomi sets out another part of the island to escape the oppressing force of her father and stepmother. She comes across another young woman, who is also vacationing there. Samantha is a younger American girl who is immediately besotted by Naomi's presence. The pair become quick friends and decide to take a hike together. The stumble upon a refugee named Faoud who looks like he is homeless with barely any belongings. Naomi believes it is their duty to help the less fortunate and convince Sam that they should hatch a plan to help him. While, they beginning to hatch their plan, the friendship between the three begin to deepen. However, an unfortunate accident causes both the plan and the friendship to unravel. Will the girls still be able to be friends? Who is this mysterious man?

The novel was an interesting read but I had a hard time getting into the novel. I have read another one of his books, "Hunters in the Dark" and I don't particularly find his writing style appealing. I found the novel made me crave wanting to know more but the ending left me unsatisfied. I felt like the backstory of Faoud could have been more detailed and even the supporting characters could have more depth.

**Disclosure - I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest opinion**

Ettang Modeling Co Take - Out Cup - Chlorella

While on search for a new mask to try, I came across this brand. It seemed interesting enough and got good reviews. The single use pack comes with powder and all you need to do is add water and stir. The cup has enough for  2- 3 uses and I learned the hard way, to separate out some powder in another container so you can use the rest for another time. If you use too much water, the mask will be too watery and if you use too little water, the mask will be very dry. Each cup has a special “star” ingredient and Chlorella is known for skin soothing properties. After removing the mask, most of the mask came out in one clean pull; my face was soft, smooth and looked radiant. I am definitely hooked and can’t wait to try the others.

Ahava DeadSea Water Mineral Body Exfoliator

The 2-in-1 everyday use body exfoliator is enriched with red algae and Dead Sea minerals to cleanse and exfoliate skin. The formula promises to moisturize and stimulate skin renewal to leave skin hydrated, smooth, soft and radiant. My skin felt smooth and soft but I followed up with lotion to make my skin feel hydrated. The exfoliator utilizes microbeads which has recently come under fire for it’s environmental impact. While the scrub is nice, I think I would stick to my sugar scrubs instead.

Vichy Laboratories Eau Thermale Spa Water

I have read tons of rave reviews about this water and of water in can beauty products [how unsexy, did I just make that product sound?] I decided to give this product a shot while during my family reunion in Florida. The water is Vichy 100% pure [no deer excrement in this water..] and is enriched with 15 rare minerals. It is recommended for every skin type, even people with sensitive skin. The water is clinically proven to have regenerating, antioxidant, soothing and protective properties, but then again isn’t all mineral water like this? Needless to say, while at the beach and enduring 1,000 degree weather, I was open to trying anything. Even though, I had stored the bottle in the fridge prior, the bottle was now at “room temperature” but it was still effective. Upon misting my body, my skin felt refreshed and cooler. My skin was also softer, smoother and looked dewy. Spraying the water, felt like nice treat on my sun parched skin. I was a fool to even question the amazingness of this product. My only qualm, is that I used the travel size in 1.69oz in 4 uses and for $9 a pop it is quite expensive. I think I will use it for a treat or when I want to feel like I been to the spa.
