Japonesque Beauty Fixation Cuticle Conditioner Applicators

My cuticles! Where do I begin with them, they are always raggedly and unkempt no matter what I do with them. I invest in hundreds of dollars of products but I tend to forget to use them. I figured with these easy to use on the go applicators, I would finally be able to get my cuticles up to par. The easy to use applicator just twists off and the product is deposited into the other end of the swab. The formula is packed with aloe vera, essential oils and extracts which promises to condition, rehydrate and revitalized dried and hardened cuticles. I love how easy and useful these were to use. I kept a box of these in my messenger bag, in my desk at work and near my nightstand so I will always remember to use them. Each applicator I have noticed had enough serum for both hands and some leftover either for my feet or just to rub the excess all over my hands. My cuticles did look better after using the product and it did help that it was travel size so I can use it anywhere.

Full confession - I am a notorious nail bitter and a nail polish addict. I sometimes change my polish 3 to 5 times a week, sometimes more, if the nail polish is chipping or doesn’t hold up well to wear and tear.  When taking some shots for my nail polish review, I noticed my cuticles look...well..to be nice...Ugh...eww. I scoured the web for some recommendations to see if there is anything to make my hands...well model like...pretty delusional of me, I know. I read a bunch of rave reviews of this and decided to give it a try. I should first note that I loved the applicator, it was so easy to apply to the spots that needed TLC without covering your hands with the treatment. In all honesty, I did ended up covering my hands with the treatment for a little extra TLC. I did notice that the oil was a bit greasy and took a bit of time to absorb fully. The oil is lightly scented and did a nice job of “tidying up” my cuticles. Essie recommends using it twice a day, every day -- I barely remember and have time to take off my makeup! Let alone add another step that my daily regime. I figured I will just apply this when I am doing my nails and well, I do see an improvement -- so at least that is something.

Sally Hansen Nail & Cuticle Hand Creme

The nail & cuticle hand crème promise 24 hour moisture and improve the condition of nails and cuticles. The crème is packed with shea butter and ceramides. The orange scented hand crème was fast absorbing and non-greasy. It helped smoothed my cuticles and conditioned my nails.   The crème promises to keep hands moisturized even through hand washings, but I didn’t notice any improvement on the softness of my hands.    Even with liberal and constant application of the crème my hand doesn’t ever stay moisturized.  I started using the crème as more of a treatment for my cuticles instead of hand lotion as my cuticles did look better.  

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

As a nervous nail bitter, my cuticles are saved because of this cream.  This lemon cream is infused with sweet almond oil, cocoa seed butter, vitamin E and sunflower oil. The cream goes on smoothly and softens cuticles quickly. I love how well-manicured this cuticle cream makes my hands look.  It is a nice cheap organic way to pamper myself.

Milk Made Smoothing Hand & Cuticle Buffer by Cake Beauty®

 My job takes a serious toll on my cuticles and nails. It leaves my cuticles all raggedy looking. I actually got a sample of the buffer, when I bought some lip gloss from Cake Beauty.  The buffer left my hand feeling so soft. My cuticles needed some tender love and care and after using this, all I can say is, "WOW!". My cuticles looked totally renewed and my skin felt so soft. Using this sugar based buffer is very easy, just rub on your hands and cuticles [pay very close attention to cuticles] and then wash off with warm water. I usually apply some cream afterwards to retain the moisture in my hands.  I have tried tons of hand buffers/scrubs, but this one is far better than any other. Just like the company says, "instant spa-like results after just one use!"
