Brazilian Peel

The idea of getting professional results from a peel at home is a blessing for those with a limited budget and time on their hands. The peel is formulated with glycolic acid, the patented Q-Mag Neutralizer and Acai. The product promises to tone, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, blemish, correct uneven skin tone, and improve complexion. To apply the peel, open the lock and squeeze the two syringes into your palm and mixed the two peels together. All was going well, until the white serum wasn’t mixing very well.  It’s consistency was like that of glue and it in turn very difficult to mix with the clear gel. In the end, I gave up and applied the whole thing to my face while the white serum was in solid form.  The messy concoction ending up burning so badly that I had washed it off 2 minutes later. My face felt tight and still burned even after washing off everything.  I don’t think I had it on long enough to notice anything but I like to believe my skin looks a bit more radiant after living through the burning sensation.

Bioelements Pumice Peel

This creamy peel has a grainy texture due to the crushed pumice crystals. The pumice crystals were ultra-fine and it wasn’t painful or caused any irritation when I rubbed it on like the Prada Exfoliating Mask. It made my skin smooth and radiant by removing the dead cell layers and my unclogging pores. The peel was a bit messy to apply to my skin and was very difficult to remove from my hair. My only qualm was even after I thoroughly washed my face there was some grainy residue from the pumice grains left on my face no matter how hard I tried to wipe it off. The peel is packed with herbal extracts, hydrogenated polydecene, ginseng and antioxidants.  At  $51 for 2.5oz jar it can be quite pricey but you can use a small amount and still get results.

VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything Lotion

My hands are constantly dry no matter how many inches of lotion I pile on. I read online that this lotion gives the skin the appearance of a post peel glow. I couldn’t wait to try it.  The thick lotion goes on smoothly and my skin does look dewy after application, but it did have a bit of a greasy feel.  My hands did remain soft and smooth throughout the day. The glycolic acid removes dead skin and kinetin growth factor speeds up cell renewal. The glycerin locks in the moisture and green tea and rice phytic has proven anti-aging effects.  An added bonus for anyone who is hypoallergenic, the lotion is fragrance, dye, phthalate, paraben and preservative free.  The lotion is quite pricy, $45 for a 6.3 oz bottle, so try it out first to see if you like it.
