The sun, the ever fickle lover. Like a toxic ex-boyfriend, it showers you with bright love and then a couple years, you see the bad side of it’s love -- the wrinkles, the saggy skin and the sun spots! While, the body lotion can’t help with the wrinkles and saggy skin, it promises to help the sun spots.  Packed with antioxidants, vitamin C, green tea, and rice phytic acid to clarify, lighten and brighten skin.  I have been using it religiously on my hands and on my sun kissed shoulders and while the spots didn’t disappear, they lightened and became less noticeable. A good product to stock up one when spending too many days with my toxic lover. On a side note, since this lotion has AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that “may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn”, according to the book of instructions that came with the lotion.  So be sure not to skimp on the sunscreen!

My Spa Life Forever Young Face Wrap - Avocado and Vitamin E

Something about putting a wet paper-thin cloth over my face makes me so relaxed. I was a bit hesitant to try this face mask as I am allergic to avocado. But since, I am glutton for punishment -- I went ahead and bought it. Avocado has long been touted as a superfood, by consuming it and also with skincare benefits. It has nourishing properties, soothe irritated skin, soften and hydrate skin. Avocados contain healthy fats and phytonutrients that pamper and protect the skin.  As being stuck inside the hotel room all day because of thunderstorms, I greedily tore the packet and applied the mask. The mask was thoroughly saturated with the serum and had a pleasant scent. I felt relaxed and my face felt cool. After 30 minutes, I removed the mask and my face was drenched with  the serum. I left it on for another 10 minutes to dry. My face did feel a bit tight, but it was soft and smooth afterwards. For $5 - $6 a mask, it is quite the bargain.

As an avid user of Bliss products, I love their facial products the best. The fabulous foaming face wash is exactly like its namesake, fabulous. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and hydrated with the exfoliating beads embedded in the creamy gel formula. I have not personally been to their spa but after washing my face with this product my skin feels pampered.  I love the soft fresh scent thanks to the botanical extracts. It makes me feel so calm and relaxed. It one of the few beauty products in my beauty regime that I love using on a daily basis regardless of how tired I am.

Comodynes Easy Peeling New Face Effect

This multi-tasking towelette exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. As with any exfoliating product it removes dead skin which allows beauty products to be absorb more efficiently. One side of the towelette is textured to help to exfoliate and the other side is soft which encourages soft skin.

I love how this product comes in a towelette form. It allows you to use it anywhere and anytime  with minimal cleanup. This is especially handy when you are traveling, you just swipe the towelette in the areas needed of exfoliation with no need to rinse. I typically use the towelettes twice a week to leave my skin glowing.

Coola Face 30 spf Sunscreen - Unscented

I love that this sunscreen is thick, absorbent and moisturizing. I am so used to apply moisturizer before putting sunscreen. To my amazement, this sunscreen keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I also adore how this sunscreen does not leave a white film all over your face. I think this one of the best sunscreens I have tried. It doesn’t have a chemical scent, [I do believe it comes also in a cucumber scent], doesn’t leave a white film and it moisturizes like a moisturizer. What more can you ask for in a sunscreen? An added benefit, this sunscreen is 70% organic including all 12 botanical extracts.

Canyon Ranch 'Balance' Light-Weight Moisture

Canyon Ranch is a wellness spa that spawned their own skincare line, so their clients can bring a bit of the spa home. The lightweight moisture cream does not live up to the spa quality skincare one expects to get from a spa. The cream itself is lacking. The texture feels very watery and does not moisturize very well. One of the company's claim is that it evens out skin tone, but I did not notice any change in my skin tone.  It is recommended to be used twice daily, but even when applied twice daily, it still left my skin feeling very dry. If you are looking for a no frills moisturizer, bypass this $75+ dud and check out Aveeno’s skincare line.
