Book Review - Ben Braver and the Vortex of Doom by Marcus Emerson

Ben Braver is an ordinary kid attending the school for superheroes. He is no match for a group of supervillains who intend to destroy his beloved school and hurt his friends. When a villain appears with the ability to create black holes, is Ben up to the task? He will need to help stop the black hole before it engulfs the world and everyone he loves.

This third book in the series was as fun as the first one. The characters have become more developed and able to find their personalities. The book is packed with fun and heartwarming moments on what it means to be a friend and a team player. I hope the author makes more books for the series!

Book Review - The Super Life of Ben Braver by Marcus Emerson

Ben Braver was enjoying his day like another kid. Except for today, he had a craving for a peanut butter cup and had none left. He decided to go to the store and get some. On his way back home, he answers a call for help.

After Ben tries to help a stranger, he ends up getting an offer that will forever change his life. He receives an invitation to join a secret school for children with special abilities.  Ben doesn't have a special power but, this is the chance he's been waiting for. Will Ben be able to become the superhero he always dreamed of becoming?

I thought this was a fun and cute read. The book was packed with adventure and thrills along with humor sprinkled through. I enjoyed reading the adventures of Ben and his classmates. This book is the perfect start of the series and young readers won't be able to stop reading it.

Book Review - Klawde: Evil Alien Warlord Cat: Enemies #2 by Johnny Marciano

In this second novel of the series, Klawde and Raj explore the delicate relationships of childhood friendship. As Raj begins his first day at a new school, he is worried about making friends. When both Klawde and Raj acclimate to their new environment, they get a surprise visit from someone from their past. Will Klawde and Raj be able to overcome their differences and become allies with the people from their past?

I thought this novel was enjoyable like the first one. It had the same amount of humor and illustrations. I like that even though Klawde and Raj were going through something similar, they both had different outcomes and ways of coping. I hope there are more books to the series as I am looking forward to their friendship continue to grow.
