Colourpop Pressed Shadow - Upon a Star

Colourpop sells a lot of makeup at an affordable price. I believe I paid $4.50 for this eye shadow single. Upon a Star is a warm-toned rosy copper color with a metallic finish. It delivers full coverage with one swipe. The eye shadow goes on smoothly and a silky feel. Unfortunately, as shown in the pictures above, the color doesn't show up on me.

Colourpop Star Party Glitterally Obsessed

Who loves glitter more than me? The answer is no one. I want to be buried in full-body glitter paint. Ha, sorry for that image! Back to the point, when I saw Colourpop was offering these, I knew I had to get my hands on many as I can.

This gel-based glitter is packed with a big silver circle (or is a hexagon?) glitter surrounded by small glitter pixie dust. It has a nice mixture of chunk and fine glitter. It does go on sparse and does transfer. I have tried other glitters that stayed the same spot all day and didn't have much fall out. For $8/9, it's pretty affordable and does the job well. I sometimes use this to highlight my cheekbones or brow bone or as a topper for my eyeshadow. However, you decide to use this product, use sparingly and then build up if needed. Definitely looking forward to trying other colors.

Colourpop Hopeless Romantic Glitterally Obsessed

Glitter is my true love. As I get older I constantly question if I am too old to wear it. The answer is a resounding NO! No one is too old for glitter. It brings joy and happiness along being a pain in the butt by getting everywhere. I can't tell you how many times days later I find specks of glitter.

This jar of happiness is supposedly body glitter but, I also applied it to my lips, eyebrows, and eyes. The multi-colored glittered has tiny heart-shaped glitter. I loved that I didn't need any additional products to apply this to my eyes and it stayed put for a good portion of the day but, with most eye makeup it did start to melt. The small hearts did poke my skin when it gets into my crease or waterline though.  I love putting on because usually, I get a few smiles from people.

Colourpop Super Shock Ultra Glitter Eyeshadow - Birthday Wish

The creamy powdery eyeshadow goes on smoothly when applied with my fingers. I found when I used a makeup brush there was a lot of fallout. The champagne color eyeshadow has pink, violet and blue glitter. I love that most of Colourpop's eyeshadows are long-lasting and doesn't crease and fade.  I believe I got this eyeshadow for free as part of their birthday special. Otherwise, while it is a beautiful color, it's not usually my go-to color.

Colourpop Matte Lux Lipstick - Hi Striker

The full matte coverage lipstick promises to go on smoothly. However, the first few swipes I noticed it tugged against my skin and didn't go on evenly. I am assuming there was a thin layer of wax which probably caused the tugging. And after a few uses, the lipstick would go on smoothly. The lipstick is enriched with pomegranate, goji fruit, and grape seed extracts but, I found the lipstick to be drying on my lips. Overall, I still found the highly pigmented lipstick a great buy for $7.

Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadow - Arrow

Colourpop is known for their creme to powder formula which has a slight bouncy texture. The red eye shadow is topped with pink and copper fine glitter. I personally thought this was more a dull rust color than the vibrant red Colourpop lists it as. However, it goes on smoothly and lasts all day but like with the eyeshadow I tried, you will hit pan very quickly, especially if you use everyday or a lot at a time.
