December 2020 Haul!

Where did the month go?! It feels like it was just December 1st only yesterday!  However, I should actually know better because I bought so much stuff during the holidays and used my credit card with wild abandon.

I bought a few more bath bombs from Lush that I am looking forward to using. I been trying to indulge in a bath more often. I got a few more sheet masks from Facetory. I got another Factr mask that I am excited to try. I got a new lip mask to try but, I am on the fence. They are relaxing but, I don't know if they actually do work. Sometimes, my lip gets dry even after putting on balm.

This is our crunch time at work and I haven't been sleeping that well lately. I bought these new Dream patches that you apply to your wrist and it delivers an even dosage of melatonin. I am looking forward to how these work compared to the pill version.

No shopping haul could be complete without me buying a few lip products. I am loving the Too Faced Drunk Dial lipstick. That purple! Swoon! I bought another Huda lip strobe in Snobby (even though I didn't even use the first one yet). I wish dining was opened again because I can't wait to wear the Scarlet Empress by Nars and Bite Beauty in  Marsala and Cognac. The Marc Jacobs in snap shut looks nice and different from anything I own. The Nars Velvet Matte lip pencil in Do Me Baby isn't as nice as I thought it would be.

I have bought a few things from Facetory's brand but, they are usually their face mask. I decided to try their cloud pouf cleanser to see how it compares to my normal one. I have used the Go-To Skincare facial oil and liked it. I decided to get their exfoliating pads to see how they work.

Lastly, I got a really expensive treat item the Chantecaille facial cream. I can't wait to use this but, I am also afraid of the results. What happens if they are so great, that I NEED this cream in my life? I dunno about anyone else but I love a good head massage. I bought this new head oil that you warm and pour all over your hair and give yourself a head massage and then wash out your hair. I can literally do not even care about the benefits to my hair, I just want a head massage.

November 2020 Haul!

My first haul for November 2020! As usual, I got more skincare and lip products. Even though I am not using any lip products.

I got two new hair product because my scalp usually gets dry and itchy. I am excited to try the Vitabrid scalp shampoo. I am hoping this is the year my scalp and it has menthol and biotin. I am excited about getting new soaps from L'Occitane. I have used the Verbena before but, I got their new limited edition Rose soap. I also got a detox soap from V76 that has mineral clay and oats to clear up skin and keep it nourished. I can't wait to use it because I get super itchy skin during the winter.

I got a new Erno Laszlo pore cleansing clay mask. My face has been breaking a lot more because wearing a mask daily. I got a few products from Facetory. I got a new Aloe Gel, a blueberry hand cream, a new face serum, and facial mist.  I am hoping to keep my skin clear and moisturize this winter instead of my normal dry and scaly skin.

Have you tried any of the products above? Let me know your thoughts.

July 2020 Haul Part 2!

Ahh, July is almost over! Thank God, and can you please take this unbearable heat wave with you (and COVID virus with you too -- please and thank you!)?

Another month into lockdown and one would assume that my skin would be amazing with all the extra time I am devoting to taking care of it...Nope! I am getting so many breakouts along my jawline and it's leaving ugly acne scars and dark spots. I have double down on the skincare and hopefully, it works and I just don't sweat it off.

I bought some more masks from Facetory. I like that they have a wide range of masks available at affordable prices. I am really excited to try the watermelon mask by Holika Holika. I bought a few lip products from Bite Beauty, Too Faced, Fluide, and Huda. I love lipsticks but, the last two lipsticks I opened melted and fell on to the floor. Argh! Brand new lipsticks all over the cream-colored carpet. I guess I am sticking to liquid products for right now.

I restocked the Nivea In-Shower wash off lotion because right now it's just too hot for my skin to even come into contact with anything. I just can't. I bought a few new body washes from Red Flower and Skin & Co. I hope the fragrance lasts on my skin past the shower.  I have used a few body washes lately that have no staying power and that's exactly what I need when my skin starts to smell less than perfect.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts! Hopefully I will have finished a few of these in the next 2-3 months :)

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick - Kimchi

I believe I cashed in my Sephora points for this deluxe sample. I love bright lipsticks and the Bite Beauty brand. The lipstick is composed of 12 nourishing oils and triple-milled pigments. It has citrus flavor according to the manufacturer. The lipstick is bright medium-dark Fuschia color with a satin finish. It had a creamy texture and applied evenly. However, I felt like it was a bit dry and showed every "flaw" and cracked skin on my lips. After the color wore down, it did leave behind a faint stain.

Bite Beauty Watercolor Lip Library - 01

I was very excited when I came across this gem in one of my stash boxes (one of many....). Having been a fan of Bite Beauty for awhile, I was ecstatic to tear back the wrapping and have my fill of swatches. Unfortunately, most of the colors were sheer that I tried and very clumpy and tacky. I lost interest roughly three swatches, but I will be sure to post the rest up when I can!

This one was the "first" lip gloss and it had a yellow color but went on sheer. It went on very thick and stayed goopy on my lips. However, my lips did feel hydrated.

Like  all of of Bite Beauty products these glosses were created with natural and food grade ingredients. It doesn't have any parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates and are certified gluten-free. It did have a slight citrus scent, but not very noticeable or pungent.

The creamy lip crayon provided a beautiful deep eggplant color. The lip crayon is packed with orange peel wax and resveratrol. The matte crayon is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates along with being water resistant. The hydrating lip crayon provided great coverage and last 3 hours before wearing off.

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil - Pomegranate

Having tried the Bite Beauty VIB Rouge Creme Lipstick, I became in love with the Bite Beauty brand and couldn't wait to try their other products. When I came across this lip pencil, I had to buy it [I didn't just buy one, I bought three...]. I love pommies! They are the absolute best fruit...like..ever.. [Okay, probably not, but leave me to my delusions].

The moisturizing lip color goes on smoothly and leaves lips soft and smooth. The long lasting matte lip pencil gave my lips a rich red color.  It looks like I have gorged myself on a crate of pommies [is it wrong that I want some pommies now?]. The pencil is enriched with food grade ingredients that is safe to eat, not that you should though [a color this beautiful needs to be showcased to the world]. But we all been guilty of licking our lips or kissing our significant other. It's nice knowing you won't accidentally ingest poison and toxic while looking beautiful [because it shouldn't be deadly wanting to look pretty]. I love how each pencil is packed with resveratrol; the amount found in five glasses of red wine! But wine is still a better way of getting resveratrol. Being packed with all the good stuff, it has none of the bad stuff like synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum byproducts.

Now excuse me, while I apply this rich creamy lip color and go eat some pommies and wash it down with red wine. Cheers to looking pretty, while doing it!
