The
rich whipped body butter has unisex scent of citrus and peppery
undertones. The body butter is packed with shea butter, vitamin E, aloe
vera juice and the oils of olive, argan and virgin coconut. According to
the Four Truffle’s product description, the body butter promises
“neutralize free radicals and infuse skin with essential fatty acids,
iron, vitamins and intense nourishment”. I am not sure if the body
butter actually neutralized the target, doesn’t that sound very high
tech? The rich body butter is thick and left my skin feeling greasy.
Which why I tend to use this before bed and wake up with softer and
smoother skin.

Pura Botanica Spiced Citrus Soap
Photo Source - Pura Botanica |
The
Pura Botanica spiced citrus soap is packed with organic ingredients and
natural oils to help nourish and soften skin. It washes away impurities
without stripping skin of moisture. While the sweet citrus scent
reminded me of Burt's Bees Citrus Spice Exfoliating Shower Soap but this one doesn’t have
the rough edges like Burt’s which I like. The creamy soap gives a nice
lather but it doesn’t moisturize my skin very well. I would recommend
following up with lotion afterwards.

Burt's Bees Citrus Spice Exfoliating Shower Soap

This
spice infused soap promises to clean and exfoliate at the same time.
The soap is packed with grounded herbs, almonds and spices that give the
soap its gritty texture. The gritty texture helps exfoliate your skin
and making it silky smooth and soft. Personally, I find the gritty
texture a bit too rough on my skin, so rub gently. The soap is spicy
scented and gives a mediocre lather. I use this soap once a week as an
exfoliator as the texture is a bit too rough and doesn’t lather very
well.

Indie Lee - Lemongrass Citrus Body Wash
Photo Credit - India Lee |
In a never ending battle to make my skin care regime greener
while keeping my skin healthy, I came across this widely recommended natural
body wash. I liked the refreshing lemongrass and citrus scent and how it
revitalized me during my morning shower. Formulated without the icky parabens,
phthalates and sulfate, it left my skin soft and lightly scented. However, I
noticed it didn’t lather very well and I did have to use a lot more body wash
to make sure everywhere was nice and clean. I also would recommend following up
with a moisturizer as my skin felt a bit dry about an hour later.
