May 2022 Haul Part 2!

I can't believe May is already finished! The month has gone by and also the year so quickly. I didn't go too crazy with the goodies!

I got a few facial masks that I got on sale from Facetory. I don't have a specific favorite or a mask that I want to try first. I just need to try and use more of the masks instead of buying and having a rather huge stockpile.

I got a few lip products including the Urban Decay Vice lipstick palette. I can't wait to be able to wear lipstick more often in public. I did get a new lip treatment from Hanalei. I believe I have tried it a few years ago but, I can't remember if I loved it or not.

I am excited to try the body wash by Beauty Protector. I have tried their hair products and really enjoy them. II am super excited and intrigued by The Beautiful Factr. probiotic ball cream. It looks like an interesting concept and I hope it keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Before I bought the cleansing oil from Derma E, I used to love the brand. I recently both a few of their products and the last few things I have used have been quite disappointing. However, I am hoping this cleansing oil works wonders.

September 2020 Haul Part 2!

Ahh, my favorite season is almost here! I love the fall. I can't wait to snuggle under a blanket, drink a nice warm drink with a book. Oh, I am counting down the days. I got quite a few products that were a little pricey but, I thought why not splurge.

I love BioBelle masks and got a few more different varieties that I didn't try before. I am a big fan of Marc Jacob and have a few of his makeup but, this is my first skincare item from him. I hope it lives up to the hype. I got a few Earth Harbor skincare treatments. To be honest, I liked the simplistic packaging and that was the main reason I bought them. I never heard of the product before buying it.

I also got a few Tarte lip products and Fenty Beauty lip products. I heard some great things about Fenty Beauty products. I am very excited to try them. I have tried some of the L'Occitane products but, this the first time I tried their oil cleanser. I also got a few new moisturizers that I am excited to try and it's the perfect weather for new cream!

July 2020 Empties!

Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone is having a great and safe day! Be sure to keep hydrated :)

Since I am still in isolation I have been managing to only finish mostly skincare products with the occasional makeup item. But, to be fair, I think that was like that was the case even before the pandemic. The most notable items were the face masks. I like the Skyn Iceland rubber mask but, the pouch goes with enough product for two uses but, unfortunately, can't be re-sealed. I like the other types of modeling mask where you mix with water so, you can use as much as you like. The Amika exfoliating shampoo was nice but, then I realized the sugar crystals don't always fully dissolve and wash away. A few times I have found some on my scalp.

The biggest disappointment was the Snow Fox serum. The serum was around $75 and did absolutely nothing for my skin. The serum when applied to my skin made it feel tight and dry. A complete and utter waste. The same thing goes for the Tatcha face mask. The mask was $12 for a single one and it didn't perform at all. It was a complete rip-off. I had better luck with masks that were under $5.

Here is a list of everything I finished below. Let me know your thoughts!

Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack Madecassoside + Mugwort

Bonvivant is MemeBox's inhouse brand before they started only making beauty products. I used to love shopping on their page to get curated boxes at great prices. I wish they went back to their old sales model of also selling other brands too.

I bought this mask during one of their many promotions for $2. Since it's an affordable mask, I use it quite often in my everyday mask rotation. The mask is enriched with madecassoside, mulberry, fig, pomegranate, ginkgo nut, mugwort extracts to enrich, soothe, and revitalize stressed skin. The mask fit my face well and was comfortable to wear. My skin was left hydrated and soothe the blemishes I had on my cheek.

BioBelle Botanic Fiber Face Mask #Decadence

Facial sheet masks are a mainstay in my weekly routine. I used to use one Sundays before work but, I, unfortunately, bought so much over the years that, I have enough to use one every single day for the next five years and still have some leftovers. And now, I have quite comfortable using facial sheet masks more often. I haven't quite mastered using it every day but, usually at least three times a week.

I have used quite a few brands of sheet masks over different price points and noticed just because a mask is sometimes priced higher doesn't always mean it is good. BioBelle masks are one of those rare unicorns where they are under $5 and you notice results after the first use. I was actually drawn to this mask because I have a huge sweet tooth. The sweet-scented mask is enriched with chocolate and acai berry extracts. This mask really does seem decadent and was a treat to use. My face was left hydrated and revitalized. This is one of my favorite brands of sheet masks and I always reach for it if I know I have a special event coming up.

Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Mask with Blueberry

I have quite a few of Leader Insolution masks and they are usually more expensive than my "day to day" ones. The gel mask is packed with blueberry extracts and vitamins to hydrate and strengthen skin. It promises to target dry and rough skin will correcting imbalanced oil production in the skin. This sounds like a multitasking mask!

The bio-cellulose mask fits my face decently well. There was a bit of shortage and overages in some areas. The masks did have a faint blueberry scent. It did leave my skin with a slightly tacky dewy hydrated finish. Since these masks sometimes can cost around $5 per piece, I use them in between my $4 under face masks.

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Face Sheet Mask

The Purlisse watermelon mask is enriched with watermelon, aloe vera, cucumber. The mask fits well and it left my face feeling refreshed and glowy. I sometimes pop these mask in the fridge for an ultra cooling effect that feels like a treat. However, for $5 per mask, it can be a bit pricey and so, I usually get the pack.

Avene eau Thermale Soothing Sheet Mask

The facial sheet mask is enriched with Avene Thermal Spring water to leave skin feeling radiant, vibrant and revitalized. The hypoallergenic mask is free of alcohol and fragrance. The mask fit my face well and upon removing the mask, my skin felt softer and radiant. While I like how my skin felt, I am not sure it is worth the $9 per mask. I felt like I got similar results from masks half the price.

Biobelle #Unicorn Glow Facial Sheet Mask

Ah, I love facial sheet masks! However, I usually get the $1-4 ones and on special occasions, I splurge and get the more expensive ones. Boy, am I excited I took the chance and splurged with this facial mask! The Tencel sheet mask is enriched with honey, mulberry, and chocolate. The ingredients read like a smoothie ingredient list and my skin loved this mask. It left my skin so soft, moisturized and radiant. I got so many compliments the next day after using this mask before going to bed. Definitely one of my favorite masks over the ones I normally use. After getting such great results with this mask, I am going to try other masks from this company as I can't rave enough about this mask.

Urban Dollkiss Honey Moist Kate Cherishable Mask

Ah, my love and hate relationship with Memebox. Their prices are very affordable but when they have their Memebox boxes, it’s hard to find any product information. I have tried Urban Dollkiss’s products before and wasn’t crazy over them. This mask is enriched with honey extracts to leave skin feeling smooth and soft. The mask fit decently well and the serum was very drippy. My face felt smooth and soft but the results felt a bit underwhelming.

Petitfee Placenta Hydro Gel Essence Mask Pack 98% Hydro Gel

I finally got around to using this mask that was in my Memebox I bought earlier in 2015. At first, I was a little skeptical of putting it on because it was made with Placenta --- like _that_ type of placenta or more like placenta from a flower. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find much information online that was in English. The clear liquid (utilizes deep sea water) itself smelled and looked okay -- but it took a bit to get over the ick and unknown factor to me. The mask was composed of hydrogel and still kept my skin moisturize and soft after removing the mask. The mask did fit my face but not a perfect fit but I would try this mask again if I could find it under $4 for each one.
