Ettang Modeling Co Take - Out Cup - Charcoal

While on search for a new mask to try, I came across this brand. It seemed interesting enough and got good reviews. The single use pack comes with powder and all you need to do is add water and stir. The cup has enough for  2- 3 uses and I learned the hard way, to separate out some powder in another container so you can use the rest for another time. If you use too much water, the mask will be too watery and if you use too little water, the mask will be very dry. Each cup has a special “star” ingredient and Charcoal is known for controlling sebum. After removing the mask, most of the mask came out in one clean pull; my face was soft, smooth and looked radiant. I am definitely hooked and can’t wait to try the others.

Level Naturals Tea Tree + Activated Charcoal Soap

I heard charcoal helps detox skin and keeps it smooth and clear. When I saw this soap, I decided to jump on the charcoal bandwagon and give it a try. The soap is packed with charcoal and tea tree oil. The soap had the scent of charcoal and it stained by my white soap holder a bit (however, I was able to get rid of it with a bit of elbow grease). I didn’t notice much of a different and the soap doesn't lather well. I wasn’t a big fan and probably won’t get it again.

Clarisea Sea Salt Solution Face Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant

The all natural exfoliant is packed with naturally detoxifying ingredients like activated bamboo charcoal powder, almond flour, Pacific ocean & Himalayan pink sea salt. The dry exfoliant can used by itself with water made into a paste or can be used with any other cleanser. I have tried both methods and before using the exfoliant with another cleanser.  Although, without fail I always end up with a bit of charcoal in my mouth. When using with water, I always add too much and the end product becomes too watery. I love using it with the DHC cleansing oil because when I add a little to it; it foams!! (As you can tell, it doesn’t take much to make me ecstatic). After washing out the exfoliant my skin feels smooth, softer and brighter. I would definitely purchase this again if  I can just figure out a way not to get it into my mouth.

Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask

I heard many good things about using charcoal based products to clear away impurities from skin. I figured this would be a good time to try it since it seems tons of charcoal based products are cropping up. The product is very easy to use; just smooth the mask over wet skin. The natural charcoal  draws out skin’s impurities along with dirt and oil. They claim this mask is self heating, which is utter crap. I applied it to my wet skin, and only when I using fingers to massage in the mask did the mask generate heat.  When I did wash off the mask, my face did have a nice cooling sensation. My face did feel fresh but it was a bit tight after  washing off my mask.  I kind of wish there was more than just 4 packets especially since they recommend you using this product 2 to 3 times a week.
