Davi Moscato Purifying Cleanser

The moscato purifying cleanser is formulated with glycerin, coconut-derived emollient and grapeseed oil. I love how soft and clean my skin feels after using this cleanser. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. The creamy texture strips away dirt and cleans clogged pores and leaves skin feeling radiant. This is one of my favorite cleansers, although it is very expensive. If you see this on sale, definitely get it!

GlamRock Bath Fizzer – Melon Fizz

While glossing over last month’s Fitness issue, I came across an article describing the health benefits of a warm bath. I started thinking, I could go for a bath…after all it had been awhile since I had one. This Bath Fizzer was more of a novelty than an actual bath product. The bath fizzer was covered in gold glitter, which was nice but kind of messy. The scent disappeared rather quickly and it didn’t really leave my skin feeling softer or hydrated.  The bath frizz turned the water first a champagne color and then gradually turned into a caramel color. While I would not use this as my go to bath ball it would make a nice stocking stuffer or a gag gift. On side note, the shape of this bath fizzer reminded me of Paco Rabanne Lady Million perfume.

Korres Guava Shower Gel

As a longtime fan of Korres Fig Shower Gel, I couldn’t wait to try the other scent in the line. The guava scent was absolutely great. This formula did lather well but it was not as thick and long lasting as the Fig formulation. The scent lightly lingered after showering and my skin was hydrated. As much as I love a thick foaming body wash, I am completely in love with the sweet smell of guava.

Pop Beauty Glitter Must Have

Let me just say this: I LOVE GLITTER!! When I came across this set, I just had to get it. While it was a good concept, I was quite disappointed. For $15 you get an array of 12 colors, with mediocre quality like art craft glitter. The containers were very tiny. They were a bit smaller than my pinky. The glitter is loose which means you need something else to bind it [lotion, primer] to the skin otherwise it will get messy. But it can also be a good thing, because you can use the glitter for various uses, such as your hair, body, and/or face. Since there is no sifter and the applicator is very poorly designed, if the tube is not carefully handled, the whole contents of the tube can end up on the floor [talking from experience:(]. While the colors are nice, I think I'd rather skip this set next time and buy the loose glitter for beauty supplier like Ulta or Sally Beauty which has the same quality but a bigger size for less money.

Ole Henriksen Fresh Lips SPF 15

As a fan of Ole Henriksen and in the market for a lip gloss with SPF, I decided to give this a try. I was quite disappointed with this gloss. It had a medical [camphor and menthol] smell and tastes horrible [yes, I know you are not supposed to eat it]. The only good thing about this gloss was that it is not sticky. It did not last very long nor did the little hydration it provided.  The product claims to have a plumping effect but I have not noticed it. I think I will stick to my usual spf lip balm for the time being.

Zoe and Zac Sweet Papaya lip butter

While trying to outrun Mother Nature’s sudden downpour, I ran into the nearest store I could find. Luckily, Payless now carry a beauty line [Yay! Entertainment! ].  I decided to buy the Zoe and Zac sweet papaya lip butter, because it was on sale for $3 dollars and I didn’t want any more dirty looks from the cashiers. [Like they've never run into a store to get out of the rain] The lip butter was greasy and the little moisture it does provide vanishes in 15 minutes.   I can’t really complain because it is a $3 lip butter at Payless, it not like I expected top quality makeup. Next time, I will just buy some stockings or an accessory.

Fusion Beauty LipFusion Luxe Boudoir Collection – Princess

This shimmery purplish pink goes on thick but is not sticky. There is a slight tingling feeling after applying the lip gloss, I'd guess due to the plumping agents in the lip gloss. The gloss has nice smell and after the gloss and glitter dissolves it left my skin feeling soft. This lip gloss is formulated with tiny, dehydrated, marine collagen micro spheres, which leaves your looking simply delectable. While this lip gloss is amazing, it is quite pricey. I bought this gloss as a treat after a horrible day at work, if you can afford it and really need a treat, go ahead and splurge on it [but try not to buy it for more than $20 – although each $1 will be going towards FusionBeauty and Seven Bar’s Kiss Away Poverty campaign].

LaRocca Champagne and Shimmer Acai Sugar Polish

This luxe champagne body polish has promise but doesn’t quite live up to it. The sweet smelling polish is packed with acai, raw sugar, shea butter, champagne grapes and 24k colloidal gold. The scrub has poor lather and it took a bit of work to work the scrub into my skin. The scrub did make my skin smooth and hydrated but only after thoroughly having to work it in. I also noticed that I felt a slight tingle while applying the scrub and a bit of tingle after washing the scrub away. It feels like my body was covered in peppermint oil which was very uncomfortable to deal with during a freezing night in December. Skip this overpriced scrub and stick with a tried and true favorite.
