Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask

I have used Wei East Golden Root Renewal before and loved it. So, I was excited when I found this in makeup cache. The super soft mud is easy to apply and stays put. However, it has a bit of a liquidy consistency and if you are not careful it can go over a certain someone’s white bathroom floor :/ The color and consistency reminds me a bit of a chocolate milkshake.  The mud promises to deep clean and remove impurities from skin thanks to the seven herbs it is in enriched with. The single use portable packaging makes it is easy to keep it fresh and prevent the product from drying out.  I was able to cover my entire face with about 75% of each of the pod and use the remainder on my neck or hands, depending which needed more TLC. I usually wait until the mud is completely dried before washing off but I recommend doing that in the shower as it can get a bit messy. After removing the mask, follow up with toner and a moisturizer to reveal smoother and softer skin.

Mirai Purifying Body Serum

The serum is enriched botanical cocktail of astaxanthin, shea butter, Japanese Green Tea, Jojoba Oil and Hyaluronic Acid. It is packed with all the good stuff and none of the bad stuff like parabens, bad synthetics, preservatives and dyes.  It promises to moisturize, prevent the visible signs of aging from skin damaging UV rays, inclement weather, and estrogen depleting hormonal changes caused by aging. The airless bottle helps protect against product degradation and keeps the formula fresh, plus it looks kind of cool on my nightstand. While the company promised a light herbal fragrance, the scent reminded me a bit of turmeric. I was a bit hesitant in using the serum in the daytime as being Indian I don’t want to use products that make me smell like curry. I personally didn’t notice any turmeric in the ingredients list but turmeric is a very good for the skin but I just rather not smell like it. I have used the serum every day night before bed and I woke up with smoother and softer skin. The serum is concentrated and lightweight so only a little is needed to provide results. I would get this again and would love to try the other products from Mirai Clinical.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam

The purifying cleansing foam has a creamy lather that purifies the complexion to bring out the radiance of your skin. The cleanser is formulated with multi-action brightening system that targets spots and improve clarity and luminosity in skin. I used a bit of this with my Clarisonic brush and it left my skin a bit tight at first. After following up with moisturizer my skin felt and look radiant. My skin look more bright and luminous but my dark spots didn’t completely vanish..sadly.

First Aid Skin Rescue Purifying Mask with Red Clay

In 20 minutes, this promises to detoxify, reduce pores, and control excess oil according to the product’s website. The mask has is enriched with red clay that draws out impurities and purifies the complexion while improving the skin’s texture. The mask was very easy to use but like most masks, it could get a bit messy. While, the paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free mask promised instant results like a professional treatment, I noticed no such thing. Yes, my face was smoother, softer and brighter but my dark spots were still there. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great product, but I don’t think it works like a professional treatment but it does get the job done.

Davi Moscato Purifying Cleanser

The moscato purifying cleanser is formulated with glycerin, coconut-derived emollient and grapeseed oil. I love how soft and clean my skin feels after using this cleanser. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. The creamy texture strips away dirt and cleans clogged pores and leaves skin feeling radiant. This is one of my favorite cleansers, although it is very expensive. If you see this on sale, definitely get it!
