Orly Nail Polish - Kiss the Bride

The pale white cream pink shade is a gorgeous neutral. The formula is free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin. The only down side is that the formula is really streaky, even with 2 thin coats. Although, the color is opaque and when you add more coats, the layers get more streaky and take forever to dry.

Too Faced Lava Gloss Glossy Black Eyeliner

The creamy eyeliner goes on smoothly. It is also very smudgeable and blends easily without tugging. It good for a cat eye but it doesn't go easily on the waterline. Overall, a mediocre eyeliner.

Nature's Alchemy - Lavender Aromatherapy Herbal Mineral Salts

Lavender has been lauded for its relaxing aroma, and its deep cleansing and purifying properties. The mineral salts is packed with 100% pure essential oils of lavender and extracts of comfrey leaf, comfrey root, elder and lavender flowers. The mineral salts were very salt, they reminded me of table salt when I pour it into my bath. When I opened the pouch I did notice a scent but after sitting in the water, the scent seemed to disappear. Overall, I didn’t like it as much as I like the ones from Kneipp.

The Body Shop Coconut Soap

The vegetable-based, preservative-free coconut soap is made with organic pure cold pressed virgin coconut, palm  and soy oil. The creamy soap lathers well and left my skin feeling smooth and soft.  The scent is very subtle and I don’t notice it on my skin afterwards. I am not sure why this is called coconut soap as the scent reminds me of cocoa butter instead. I prefer the scent of The Body Shop - Moringa Soap scent instead.

Better Homes and Garden December 2013

Putting on Falsies
1. Customize - using tweezers, hold the strip where your own lashes start at the inner corner of your eyes. If there’s any excess at the outer corner, trim.
2. Add glue - holding the strip with your tweezer, apply a very thin as in nearly nonexistent coat of glue straight from the tube. Swipe your finger over the strip to smooth and remove any excess -  globs of glue are a dead giveaway that you’re wearing fakes.
3. Place - wait 10 seconds, then place the strip at the roots of your own lashes with the tweezers. Don’t stress stress if you make a mistake. Simply use your fingers to remove any glue and go back to step 2. Repeat 1 - 3 on your other eye.
4. Curl - after two minutes, clamp with an eyelash curler - it will help your natural lashes blend with the false ones. Seal with mascara.
Put on the falsie after finishing your shadow and liner. It’s tricky to get a smoky eye just right with extra lashes in the way. Before removing, wet a cotton swab with hot water and run along the lash band to soften the glue. You’ll save your natural lashes.
