LaLicious Brown Sugar & Vanilla Sugar Souffle Moisturizing Body Scrub

Some things go better in pairs – hot chocolate and whipped cream, peanut butter and jelly, cheese and crackers…I am so hungry now! What was I talking about again? During the winter/fall seasons, I notice my skin feeling scaly and rough. I have tried their “Sugar Kiss” body scrub and was impressed with the quality. I wanted to try the other scents in their body scrub line. This scent didn’t disappoint. It has a sweet alluring scent while applying and which lingers after washing off the sugar scrub. The pure cane sugar crystals body scrub is packed with coconut oil, sweet almond and vitamin E oils that help moisturize, smooth and condition your skin. This is a nice guilt free way to treat yourself during the holidays or any time really.

Burt’s Bees – Honey & Shea Sugar Scrub

Since spring is around the corner, I need to whip my ashy skin into shape [I wish there was something for the muffin top].  One of my favorite ways to exfoliate is using a sugar scrub. This sweet scented body sugar is packed with almonds and aloe leaf juice. The finely grated almonds and sugar crystals work in harmony to slug away dead skin. Although, the scent is honey and shea, I found the honey scent to be more dominating.  I started using this body sugar mostly because it was on sale and cheap. It did a decent job though. It left my skin smooth and soft.  I think it would leave my skin softer, if the sugar scrub wasn’t mostly composed of sugar, halfway through using the scrub the sugar became dry. It became a pain to rub the dry mixture in.

LaLicious Moisturizing Body Scrub - Sugar Kiss

As seasons change our skin need the occasional scrub down. Body scrubs is one of best way to remove dull skin. I was bit hesitant in trying LaLicious body scrub because the name sounds a bit childish, but now I am in love. But don’t be fooled by the name, this is one top notch product. The scrub made my skin silky smooth and soft.  My skin was hydrated and well moisturized. The scent was sweet and the soft scent lingers.  The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the scrub was hard to rub into my skin. It took quite an effort to rub in the scrub into my skin. Other than that, I recommend taking a look at this body scrub.

LaRocca Champagne and Shimmer Acai Sugar Polish

This luxe champagne body polish has promise but doesn’t quite live up to it. The sweet smelling polish is packed with acai, raw sugar, shea butter, champagne grapes and 24k colloidal gold. The scrub has poor lather and it took a bit of work to work the scrub into my skin. The scrub did make my skin smooth and hydrated but only after thoroughly having to work it in. I also noticed that I felt a slight tingle while applying the scrub and a bit of tingle after washing the scrub away. It feels like my body was covered in peppermint oil which was very uncomfortable to deal with during a freezing night in December. Skip this overpriced scrub and stick with a tried and true favorite.
