Burt's Bees Herbal Milk Bath

Another product I found in my beauty cache which is no longer available. I seriously need to finish things quickly or stop buying more (who am I kidding??) The herbal bath is enriched with milk powder, buttermilk powder, lavender oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil, and peppermint oil. The herbs lend their relaxing properties to this bath and you can feel your stress melt away and being replace by a self of calm. I also like how soft and smooth my skin felt afterwards (do a quick rinse after the bath)

Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm

The sweet honey scented lip balm is packed with honey and vitamin E. It promises to cure dry lips with sweetness from golden honey. It left my lips nourished, soft, smooth, and lightly scented of floral honey.  Best part, it is the best way to cure the sweet tooth without the calories ;)

Burt's Bees Spearmint & Lime Body Wash

The spearmint and lime infused wash is a gentle all - in - one formula. The gentle cleanser is made with coconut  and sunflower oils to create a rich lather. I love the fresh and crisp scent. It is perfect for size and scent to pack in my gym bag.

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter

I love mangoes and I am quite fond of Burt’s Bees lip balm so I thought this would be the perfect combination. Although the person who thought “Fruit” and “Cake” would be a great idea is sadly mistaken. The lip balm is infused with nourishing mango butter that promises to smooth and hydrate dry chapped lips. I like the fruit scent of the lip balm and I believe there was a slight mangoey taste. My only misgiving is that my lips didn’t stay hydrated and I was constantly re-applying -- granted it could be my fault that it smelled so sweet and tasted so yummy I kept licking the lip balm off.

Burt's Bees Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion

The hypoallergenic dermatologist tested is made for sensitive skin and clinically proven to provide  moisturization.  The 99% natural lotion is packed with natural extracts of aloe, buttermilk, chamomile, calendula, St. John’s Wort, rosemary and linden flower to smooth and soothe achy skin. The lotion absorbed quickly but left my hand feeling sticky and the lotion doesn’t smell very pleasant. It is not the worst lotion I have ever used but I am not really into the scent and my sticky fingers afterwards.

Gud Natural Body Butter Orange Petalooza Blood Orange Flower

Gud is created by the creators of Burt’s Bees, so it is not formulated with any parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals. The thick body butter has shea butter to help alleviate dry skin. This rich and creamy lotion is very moisturizing but it is a bit greasy. It does absorb quickly and leaves a scent of blood orange and hyacinth.  I personally, didn’t like the scent very much but I did like how my skin felt  after applying the body butter. I think next time, I will try another one of the other 5 scents available.

Burt’s Bees Naturally Ageless Smoothing Eye Cream

I have always been a big fan of Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream. I decided to give this eye cream a try mostly because it is formulated with pomegranates[everything is better with pommies], magnolia and horse chestnut extracts. The delicious [to me at least my brother hated the scent] scented eye cream promises to smooth and diminish the appearance of lines, crow’s feet, dark circles and under eye puffiness. The eye cream made my skin smooth and soft. The best part I was able to fake a good night sleep with the just a little eye cream the night before.

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream

This is one of my favorite products from the Burt’s Bees Radiance line. The eye cream is packed with Royal Jelly, natural mica, bee pollen, chamomile, cucumber and rosehip extracts. The non-greasy, fast absorbing eye cream hydrates, softens and makes my dark circles less apparent. The product promises to reduce puffiness, swelling and minimize fine lines but I don’t really have notice any of that . Mostly, because I don’t ever get puffy or swollen eyes unless of course it was that one time I accidentally punched myself in my face. Long story short, I got really excited in Sephora…but in truth, can you really blame me…it was Sephora… :)

Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm

Pomegranates has always been one of my favorite fruits to indulge in. Whether it was enjoy it as a late afternoon snack,  imbibe as martini or mixed in with my favorite skin care products. I already been a fan of Burt Bee’s and I thought I should take the dive and buy it. The lip balm is packed with nourishing pomegranate oil. It promises to replenish and revitalize your lips. The scent did smell a bit like pomegranates,  but I wasn’t overly fond of it. It leaves a slight pinkish tint but it isn’t very noticeable. The lip balm goes on smoothly and does soften my lips but it doesn’t last very long. I notice I reach for some every hour or so.  Overall, it is a mediocre lip balm but I would buy it again if it was on sale only because I love pommies.

Burt's Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to take better care of myself [yes, in the middle of August I still didn’t accomplish it]. The first part was hauling my lazy butt off the couch and on to the treadmill [still didn’t do it]. Of course, being inactive for a majority of my life -- my muscles were sore and achy. I read really good reviews for these bath crystals and I decided to give these a shot. These natural sea salts are imbued with essential lemon and eucalyptus oils that help melt stress and release lactic acids that build up during physical activity. After soaking in the crystals, my skin felt softer, smoother and I felt a bit more relaxed and refreshed. I can’t believe I am saying this but I can’t wait to another session on the treadmill. Okay, I just want to relax in another bath with these crystals -- we all need a little “me time”  :)

Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion

During the winter [okay, all the time], the soles of my feet tend to get rough and dry. This foot lotion leaves my feet soft, smooth and feeling pampered after a long day of work. This lotion is packed with peppermint, menthol, glycerin and coconut oil to make your feet feel like they are walking on clouds. If you wear heels all day or if your feet needs a bit of love, you have to get this treat for your feet.

Burt's Bees Peppermint Shower Soap

This peppermint soap has a soft peppermint scent which doesn’t last past the shower. The soap  does however, gives a creamy lather. The soap left my skin feeling soft and doesn’t dry out my skin. This is one of my favorite soaps from Burt’s Bees but I am sadden that they discontinued this soap. I think some of the older kits and grab bags they had late last year included some bars.

Burt’s Bees Muscle Mend

Most normal people work out the months or weeks leading up into summer, I on the other hand work out the weeks leading up to winter. Why, you might ask? Quite simple, I already know I am going to be a sloth during the winter and probably gain like 25 pounds due the lack of moving and consuming warm comfort foods/drinks. So, imagine I am already a brownish hue, and a bit chubby and more so during the winter and extremely grouchy during the winter; I sort of resemble a bear. To alleviate some the weight gain I know will happen, I try to lose some weight prior. I been hitting the treadmill [twice week, better than nothing :) ] and running [more like walking] as fast  as I can. It is natural that being inactive for 49 weeks of the year, my muscles would be sore and stiff after working out. This is why I love this non greasy natural muscle balm. Not only does it make me  feel a bit athletic [long story] it makes it hurt less the next day walking around and makes me more readily wanting to continue my regime the next day. A must buy for anyone who is active or has sore muscles.

Burt's Bees Natural Toothpaste - Multicare with Fluoride

I bought the travel size version of this on a recent trip and it wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be a bland tasting toothpaste that does a mediocre job. It was actually had a pleasant tasting [very tasty, indeed...waiting isn’t eating toothpaste frown upon?] toothpaste and it didn’t have a bad aftertaste. I did find the toothpaste a bit gritty and not as smooth other toothpastes.  Overall, it left my mouth feeling clean and refreshed. I am not sure if it actually whitens but I don’t really need to whiten my teeth. My go to whitening tip....don’t smile and it works every time and it’s free!

Burt's Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Body Scrub

I love this sweet scented body scrub. It reminds me of Jolly Ranchers for some odd reason. The sugar crystal based scrub is packed with pomegranate oil, cranberry seed and Shea butter.  I love this scrub for my winter parched skin. It sloughs away the dead skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. The body scrub left sweet lingering scent. A word of warning after washing off the scrub, my skin felt a bit slick and oily. It bothered me the first time but I eventually got used to it. Overall, I would definitely buy this again.

Burt's Bees Aloe & Linden Flower After Sun Soother

I love this silky smooth after sun soother [try saying that eight times]! I rarely get sun burned for not putting on sunscreen or not putting it on frequently enough but I still use this lotion every chance I get. I sometimes put on the lotion even if I haven’t been outside. The lotion is packed with aloe vera, linden extract, bee pollen, glycerin and coconut oil to soothe, nourish and replenish skin naturally. I found the lotion to be creamy, fast absorbing and hydrating. It kept my skin soft at least 4 hours after applying it.

Burt's Bees Citrus Spice Exfoliating Shower Soap

This spice infused soap promises to clean and exfoliate at the same time. The soap is packed with grounded herbs, almonds and spices that give the soap its gritty texture. The gritty texture helps exfoliate your skin and making it silky smooth and soft. Personally, I find the gritty texture a bit too rough on my skin, so rub gently. The soap is spicy scented and gives a mediocre lather. I use this soap once a week as an exfoliator as the texture is a bit too rough and doesn’t lather very well.

Burt's Bees Radiance Night Crème

The creamy lightweight formula was god send. I recently ran out and bought more.  But I noticed I wasn’t getting the same results as before. After reading some reviews, it turns out a lot of people were upset about the reformulation. I agree, why mess with something so good and make it so bad. The old formula left my skin smooth, soft, dewy and hydrated The new formula barely moisturizes my face. It doesn’t leave my face looking radiant but mediocre [I am not sure if I should refer to my face as mediocre]. I am sorely disappointed at this and I will no longer will be purchasing this once great night crème.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Care for Men Body Wash

I originally bought this body wash for my brother but I ran out of body wash one day I used this instead. I ended up liking it and started using his body wash more than my own.  The citrus smelling body wash is packed with coconut, cypress, fir and sunflower oils, vitamin B, soy proteins and citrus that moisturize and energize you awake in the morning. The best part is that it is all natural and free from harmful chemicals. The only downside to this body wash is that has mediocre lather.

Burt’s Bees – Honey & Shea Sugar Scrub

Since spring is around the corner, I need to whip my ashy skin into shape [I wish there was something for the muffin top].  One of my favorite ways to exfoliate is using a sugar scrub. This sweet scented body sugar is packed with almonds and aloe leaf juice. The finely grated almonds and sugar crystals work in harmony to slug away dead skin. Although, the scent is honey and shea, I found the honey scent to be more dominating.  I started using this body sugar mostly because it was on sale and cheap. It did a decent job though. It left my skin smooth and soft.  I think it would leave my skin softer, if the sugar scrub wasn’t mostly composed of sugar, halfway through using the scrub the sugar became dry. It became a pain to rub the dry mixture in.
