C.Booth Honey Almond Body Butter

Even though the winter season is "over". I still find myself stuck with dry and itchy skin. I leave this by my sink to hydrate my skin whenever it needs a pick me up. It leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. The thick cream though is a bit greasy so, I tend to use a small amount. The body butter is enriched with honey and almond that leaves a sweet delicate scent on the skin.

Burt's Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Body Butter

I am a huge fan of pomegranate. I tried Burt’s Bees Cranberry and pomegranate body scrub and I loved it.  The body butter is packed with cranberry seed and pomegranate oils and cocoa and jojoba butter. The potent cocktail promises to replenish, moisture and hydrate dry and itchy skin. The thick fragrant body butter absorbs easy and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Overall, I like this body butter as made my skin really soft and left my skin with a soft fragrance on my skin.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

The creamy body butter is packed with nourishing beeswax, tropical virgin organic coconut oil and hydrating shea butter. Although, the body butter claims to have a tropical coconut scent; it smells more like cocoa butter to me. It also has the same consistency and melt in your skin texture. My skin felt soft and smooth but I didn’t get 24 hour hydration as promised. Overall, it’s a mediocre product. I feel like you can get the same quality from a jar of Palmer’s Cocoa butter from the drugstore without the $20 price tag.

Sephora Guava Passion Body Butter

While preparing for the holiday season, I cleaned out some of my stashes to see which products I have and which I need to stock up on. I came across this little treasure but then realize that Sephora stopped making this specific body care line and I should probably use this right away. I notice the scent and the texture was consistent with the other Sephora body products so I assumed it was still good. Plus, it expires 2 years after opening so I was more than okay. The creamy body  butter goes on smoothly and left my skin feeling soft. While the nourishing shea butter body cream is thick, it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on my skin. The fruity scent is not overpowering and leaves my skin delicately scented. The body butter is scented with guava, mango, pineapple, lily of the valley, monoi de tahiti, vanilla and musk. I am curious to try Sephora’s new body products.

Four Truffle Lime Basil Mandarin Body Butter

The rich whipped body butter has unisex scent of citrus and peppery undertones. The body butter is packed with shea butter, vitamin E, aloe vera juice and the oils of olive, argan and virgin coconut. According to the Four Truffle’s product description, the body butter promises “neutralize free radicals and infuse skin with essential fatty acids, iron, vitamins and intense nourishment”. I am not sure if the body butter actually neutralized the target, doesn’t  that sound very high tech? The rich body butter is thick and left my skin feeling greasy. Which why I tend to use this before bed and wake up with softer and smoother skin.

Julep Pomegranate Body Crème

This moisturizing cream is packed with pomegranate, papaya enzymes, shea butter, with jojoba, avocado, and kukui nut oils. I took two containers of this with me to Florida on a family reunion thinking the sun will dry out my skin leaving it scaly and dry. To my utter delight, this floral scented body crème kept my skin feeling soft and smooth the entire time. The creamy crème is a bit greasy if you apply too much but a little crème does go a long way. When opening the container the floral scent might be a bit overpowering to some but when rub on to the skin it leaves the skin delicately scented.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

The freshly squeezed tangerine scented body butter is packed with fair trade shea butter. The  creamy body cream went on smoothly and absorbed quickly. The body butter wasn’t greasy and left my skin soft and smooth. The sweet scent lasted all day but it does transfer to my clothes.  While the body butter did promise 24 hour hydration but I didn’t really notice that because I was using the lotion every night and still get a bit of flaky and dry skin. I do like the body butter in general but I might try some of the other scents.

Moroccanoil Abundant Nourishment Body Butter

I had no idea, that Moroccanoil made more than hair products. Lo and behold, they do! The whipped body butter is packed with argan oil, vitamin E, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, squalane, argan butter, shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter, olive oil, avocado oil, and pomegranate oil. [Boy, that’s a long list of good for you ingredients! They weren't kidding about the abundant part] The rich cream goes on thick but felt little greasy. I notice a little of the velvety body butter is all that is needed. My skin felt really soft, silky smooth, and delicately scented. The body butter smells like a bit like the original Moroccanoil, which is not my particularly favorite scent. The body butter is really good for the cold and harsh weather but it might be a bit too heavy during the warmer months.

Gud Natural Body Butter Orange Petalooza Blood Orange Flower

Gud is created by the creators of Burt’s Bees, so it is not formulated with any parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals. The thick body butter has shea butter to help alleviate dry skin. This rich and creamy lotion is very moisturizing but it is a bit greasy. It does absorb quickly and leaves a scent of blood orange and hyacinth.  I personally, didn’t like the scent very much but I did like how my skin felt  after applying the body butter. I think next time, I will try another one of the other 5 scents available.
