BBW Shower Jelly with Aloe - Fresh Sea Salt Mango

I remembered when I first came across the new "jelly" soap trend and was so excited to try it. I have seen a few where the jelly had a "solid" form and you had to use the whole piece to wash. However, I found the jelly to break off bits and pieces during use.

When I first opened this tub, I was perplexed on how to use this product because it wasn't solid enough to use the entire thing at once. I shortly realized that you scoop out a small amount and apply it to your loofah/washcloth. Once you work the jelly in your shower implement, it provides a generous lather you can use. The jelly does have a nice fresh scent that lingers after you wash off. I didn't find the shower jelly to be very moisturizing and still had to follow up with lotion afterward.

Key West Aloe Mango Body Wash

The sweet scented body wash is enriched with 30% aloe, vitamin E, and mango extracts. It promises to nourish, moisturize, and clean skin while gently scenting the skin with a “tropical scent”. I found the body wash to produce a sufficient lather but I wasn’t really wowed by the performance. My skin wasn’t any softer or moisturized and the scent was very weak.

Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Lipstick - Inspired

The neutral lipstick is a soft beige color and is packed with clay and natural butters like mango, avocado and shea. The lipstick promises to provide rich, vivid and long lasting color. The lipstick went on smooth and felt creamy. Personally, the color was not my favorite.  I was looking for a neutral color but this matched my natural lip color to well. And it didn't last very long. I had to reapply quite often.

Sephora Guava Passion Body Butter

While preparing for the holiday season, I cleaned out some of my stashes to see which products I have and which I need to stock up on. I came across this little treasure but then realize that Sephora stopped making this specific body care line and I should probably use this right away. I notice the scent and the texture was consistent with the other Sephora body products so I assumed it was still good. Plus, it expires 2 years after opening so I was more than okay. The creamy body  butter goes on smoothly and left my skin feeling soft. While the nourishing shea butter body cream is thick, it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on my skin. The fruity scent is not overpowering and leaves my skin delicately scented. The body butter is scented with guava, mango, pineapple, lily of the valley, monoi de tahiti, vanilla and musk. I am curious to try Sephora’s new body products.

The Body Shop Mango Soap

I am slowing making my way through all of the Body Shop’s soaps. The vegetable based soap is packed mango seed and palm oils. The soap provided a generous lather and left my skin feel soft and smooth. The mango scent was a sweet and smelled like freshly cut mangoes. Is anyone else hungry?

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter

I love mangoes and I am quite fond of Burt’s Bees lip balm so I thought this would be the perfect combination. Although the person who thought “Fruit” and “Cake” would be a great idea is sadly mistaken. The lip balm is infused with nourishing mango butter that promises to smooth and hydrate dry chapped lips. I like the fruit scent of the lip balm and I believe there was a slight mangoey taste. My only misgiving is that my lips didn’t stay hydrated and I was constantly re-applying -- granted it could be my fault that it smelled so sweet and tasted so yummy I kept licking the lip balm off.

Suave Body Wash – Mango Mandarin

Awaken your senses, with this sweet citrus body wash. Packed with mango and mandarin extracts, laced with Vitamin E, it leaves your skin feeling softer. The body wash lathers up well and surrounds your skin with moisturizing suds. The scent softly lingers for awhile but diminishes within 1 hour or so afterwards. The body wash is not very moisturizing and it is recommended to apply lotion after showering.  This body wash is average compared to other body washes available on the market. If you are looking for a cheap body wash that gets the job done okay, then this shower gel is for you. If you are looking for a more moisturizing body wash, I recommend trying Korres Shower Gel
