Book Review - Rhyme Crime by Jon Burgerman

Words have gone missing! Someone stole Marlow's smile. Who took Dingle's sneeze? What happened to Tumble's orange? There must be a thief going around taking words and replacing it with a rhyme. Can you help put the clues together to help capture the thief?

I found the book to be silly and fun to read. The little tots I read it to found it hilarious and they ended up becoming a big pile of giggles. However, the children who were a bit older (around 5-7) found the book silly. They found the illustrations to be "gross". Overall, a fun and entertaining book that let kids guess out the ending.

Engagement Activities-
1. How many rhyme pairs can you come up with in one minute?
2. What is your favorite word? Why?
3. Can you draw your favorite toy? What rhymes with it?
4. What is your most prized possession? Why?
5. If you can have any silly superpower, what would it be?

**Disclosure - I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion**

Level Naturals Dragon's Blood + Spice Soap

With the name of Dragon’s Blood, one can’t help but think of mythical creatures breathing fire among villages and philandering loot. However, the “blood” use for this soap isn’t the blood from the fierce firebreather but from an Amazonian tree whose sap is crimson red. The soap is loaded with plant oils, orange and cinnamon essentials oils. The generous sized bar provided a decent lather. The spicy scented soap didn’t leave my skin scented or moisturized. A mediocre soap that I won’t be purchasing again.

Memebox - Colorbox #2 - Orange Unboxed

The last box from the color collection. I feel this box and the blue box were the least exciting of the three [mostly because they had the least amount of products]. It had the same products as the blue box but these are just orange instead of blue or red.  I will go into more detail once I get to use them more :)

Manic Panic Lipstick - MP 009 Tainted Love

Bland lips

The swatch on my lips

The bright orange red lipstick went on smoothly. The high quality lipstick gave a nice coverage, moisturizing, and it is very pigmented. It was advertised as matte lipstick but I think it had a soft sheen satin finish and it wasn't as drying as other matte lipstick. For $8 a bullet, the lipstick is quite a steal. I can't wait to try the other Manic Panic lipsticks.

Skin & Co Bagnodoccia Sicilian Body Gel

This delicately scented shower gel is packed with zesty ingredients  like orange, rosemary extracts and olive oil which were sourced from Italy. The body wash left my skin feeling soft and lather decently enough. It was okay body gel and I probably won’t be buying it again. I wasn’t too fond of the scent but I did make me wish I was in Italy though!

Gud Natural Body Butter Orange Petalooza Blood Orange Flower

Gud is created by the creators of Burt’s Bees, so it is not formulated with any parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals. The thick body butter has shea butter to help alleviate dry skin. This rich and creamy lotion is very moisturizing but it is a bit greasy. It does absorb quickly and leaves a scent of blood orange and hyacinth.  I personally, didn’t like the scent very much but I did like how my skin felt  after applying the body butter. I think next time, I will try another one of the other 5 scents available.

Sally Hansen Nail & Cuticle Hand Creme

The nail & cuticle hand crème promise 24 hour moisture and improve the condition of nails and cuticles. The crème is packed with shea butter and ceramides. The orange scented hand crème was fast absorbing and non-greasy. It helped smoothed my cuticles and conditioned my nails.   The crème promises to keep hands moisturized even through hand washings, but I didn’t notice any improvement on the softness of my hands.    Even with liberal and constant application of the crème my hand doesn’t ever stay moisturized.  I started using the crème as more of a treatment for my cuticles instead of hand lotion as my cuticles did look better.
