BA Star Chocolate Star Dust and Body Shimmer Base

The glue goes on white and tacky but dries clear

The glue with a bit of the shimmer

The shimmer on my bare skin

The texture of my skin was a bit rough but when you rub it in goes smooth and soft

The shimmer on top of the base. The shimmer was soft and easy to bend.

The color with a hint of flash.
BA Star offered to send me a sample of their Chocolate Star Dust and Body Shimmer Base, I was super excited to try it. BA Star supplies makeup to performers, dancers and cheerleaders. I figured that their makeup has to stay put and last all day given how vigorous their lifestyle is.  When I first got the chocolate star dust, I thought it was eye shadow but it turns out it is  body shimmer, mostly because the of the base that BA Star supplied. The body shimmer base was white and look a bit like Elmer's glue but it is not sticky and very easy to clean  without leaving a residue. The star dust has a bit of a coarse texture but when you rub it in, it becomes smooth and soft.  While, I don't use body shimmers anymore, I think I might use the star dust as eyeshadow or use it during Halloween.

Burt’s Bees – Watermelon Lip Shimmer

As an avid fan of both Burt’s Bees and their lip balms, I couldn’t wait to try their much lauded lip shimmer. It is packed with vitamin E, beeswax, sunflower and coconut oil. The lip shimmer gave a pretty sheer wash of color and left a bit of shimmer behind. Although, it didn’t provide enough moisture and my lips felt dry after 15 minutes or so after application. I love the color and how it nicely brightens up my face with color but I might have to use a lip balm under this shimmer so my lip doesn’t dry up.

LaRocca Champagne and Shimmer Acai Sugar Polish

This luxe champagne body polish has promise but doesn’t quite live up to it. The sweet smelling polish is packed with acai, raw sugar, shea butter, champagne grapes and 24k colloidal gold. The scrub has poor lather and it took a bit of work to work the scrub into my skin. The scrub did make my skin smooth and hydrated but only after thoroughly having to work it in. I also noticed that I felt a slight tingle while applying the scrub and a bit of tingle after washing the scrub away. It feels like my body was covered in peppermint oil which was very uncomfortable to deal with during a freezing night in December. Skip this overpriced scrub and stick with a tried and true favorite.

Stila Silk Shimmer Gloss - Scarlet

I bought this gloss in several colors. I love how vibrant the colors were and how moisturizing it felt on my lips. The gloss smell absolutely great from the tube. While I must agree with some of the other users that gloss did not stay on very long and it is somewhat pricey, I still believe it is a good buy for a splurge or if it is goes on sale.
Sorry, these color swatches look kinda..well do look gross..
