April 2021 Haul!

It's April already! I am looking forward to warmer weather. This month I definitely went overboard even though I finished only a handful of things, you know, my usual MO.

I got quite a few new masks and I am really looking forward to using those nose strips for blackheads. I got one from SpaLife and the other from MeFactory. I love using these types of strips and seeing all the gunk that is removed. I got a new mask from MediHeal that has acupuncture points on the mask and you have to press those spots to add another level of relaxation.

As always, I bought tons of lip products even though I can't really wear them without dirtying my mask. I got this lovely red lipstick from MAC in Russian Red and Lotus Night, Julep's Lady in Red lipstick, and YSL red lip stain. I got this pretty pink champagne color from Marc Jacobs in Pink Parade. I got this beautiful tinted lip color from Ilia in Arabian Nights. I heard so much good things from this brand and I am really excited to try it. Charlotte Tilbury is another cult favorite product and I got a beautiful nude brown in Bond Girl. I got a new Fenty beauty lip paint in Unlocked.

I love scalp shampoos and I am really looking forward to the Living Proof one. I have used their leave-in creams and they made a noticeable difference. I also got the one from Sachajuan which also got really good reviews. I got a new facial oil from Malin + Goetz. I have used a few products from this brand and always had good results. I got a new bamboo serum from this Korean brand which seems cool. I also got a few Perricone MD products that promise to help with my acne.

I got a bunch of other things that I am really excited to try. Is there anything you are excited to try this month?

February 2021 Haul!

I can't believe that January is over! I feel like the year has been moving so quickly. Today, we had a big snowstorm and I thought it was the perfect time to go through some of my purchases.

I bought a few more face masks from Facetory and Ulta. I got a few more When masks. I love their masks and when they are on sale, its a good deal. I got some Amazon and they were a $1 a packet. They are usually okay but, this was before I realized that I could just wait and get some masks on sale from more reputable brands. I got an avocado mask pack for my scalp because during the winter my scalp gets so dry and itchy. I am hoping with this mask pack that it will keep my scalp in good condition.

I been doing my nails at home more often. And I never really used a top or base coat and it really does make a difference. I bought a set of Seche Vite top and base coat because I heard so many good things about this brand. I bought quite a few new lip products because I have a mental problem. But I bought a few Colourpop lipsticks from their Villians line and I am in love. I can't wait to wear these out in public. I got Ursula, Cruella, and Evil Queen (and La Lady from their regular line). I love Urban Decay and I got Backtalk. This isn't usually a color I reach for but, I am trying to move out of my comfort zone. I also got some new lip products from Bite Beauty, Half Baked, Tarte, Smith and Cult, and Stila I love these brands and just got new colors for products I already own.

I got some makeup wipes for days I am just so lazy even though my skin always revolt the next day. I got one from Ricky's and the other by a brand called "Flaunt". I can't even where I bought this from but, I am thinking it was probably one of those discount makeup sites I visit and things are usually "cheap" that I just buy it because its a "good deal".

I bought the Factory Oats facial oil. I have used quite a few of their branded products and think that they do a good job at an affordable price. I bought the ElishaCoy hyalurone cream because I have used the essence and it always left my skin hydrated. I also finished a cream I use in the night so, I might rotate this one in.

Did you get anything new that you are excited to try?

Finding Ferdinand Nob Hill Red Lipstick

Guess how many red lipsticks I own? More than any normal sane person should have. I love red lipsticks. Nothing makes me feel like I can take on the world more than a beautiful bold red.

I never heard of the brand before but, I am always up to try something new. I rarely buy the same thing twice unless it's truly something I can't live without and it's on sale. Let's be honest, makeup is expensive and  sometimes I do really question if it's wrong to sell my organs to support my habit.

While I never heard of the brand, I felt that a $30 price tag is kind of steep. I felt like for a few more dollars, I could get a well known prestige brand lipstick or a few beloved drugstore favorites. But, my dear readers, I bite the bullet and got one. The packaging was sleek but, it didn't have heavy weight like Colourpop or Urban Decay's lipsticks. I did like that you did have to push the tube up before the lipstick popped down.

The warm-hued lipstick went on smoothly. One swipe provided full coverage but, I like applying two coats for even application. It felt nice against the skin and lasted maybe two hours before fading away. I like the color on me but, I can't say it's my favorite shade nor do I find myself reaching for this often. I am opened to trying new colors by the brand but, definitely not paying full price.
