Makeup artist Wendy Rowe shows how to create the perfect matte red lip -

“1. Sweep a small amount of foundation over your mouth before applying lipstick, so the color shows up bold and doesn’t rub off easily.

2. Line your lips with red pencil to create a strong shape.

3. Smooth bright red over your entire lip. Intensify the color in the center of the mouth with a darker red to create depth.

4. Soften the edge of your lip line with a cotton ball. This creates a modern feel that looks a little worn-in.

5. Once you’re happy with the shape and color, gently place a tissue sprinkled with face powder over your mouth for an even more matte effect.”

Julep Nail Polish - Claire

After taking at least 25 shots, all which were blurry or horrible quality, I realize I should take the photo after my hands are dried :)

I love this bright blue nail polish with creme finish. While I love how it brightens up my hands, I find I like it a lot better on my toes. Perfect for the beach or at least wanting to be at the beach!

Stila Lip Glaze – Black Cherry

I love this non sticky super glossy lip glaze. The lip glaze looks dark but when applied to my lips it left a nice sheer berry color. I usually like lip glosses with shimmer but this doesn’t have any which makes it perfect for every day wear in the office. It lasts for a good two hours and leaves my lips pretty soft. Even though the Stila lip glazes are true to name, but I was a bit disappointed with the scent.

Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion

During the winter [okay, all the time], the soles of my feet tend to get rough and dry. This foot lotion leaves my feet soft, smooth and feeling pampered after a long day of work. This lotion is packed with peppermint, menthol, glycerin and coconut oil to make your feet feel like they are walking on clouds. If you wear heels all day or if your feet needs a bit of love, you have to get this treat for your feet.

Burt's Bees Peppermint Shower Soap

This peppermint soap has a soft peppermint scent which doesn’t last past the shower. The soap  does however, gives a creamy lather. The soap left my skin feeling soft and doesn’t dry out my skin. This is one of my favorite soaps from Burt’s Bees but I am sadden that they discontinued this soap. I think some of the older kits and grab bags they had late last year included some bars.
