Juara Tiare Jasmine Tea Bath and Shower Gel

The sweet jasmine tea scented body is enriched with extracts of green, white, and black teas to soothe and calm skin.  The body wash is both sulfate and paraben free and employs natural cleansers to soften and moisturize skin. While the body wash was a sweet treat to use, I noticed I couldn’t get much of lather. I didn’t bother using it as a bubble bath as it wouldn’t really lather well when I was using a loofah. Although, I did notice that it did leave my skin silky soft. While, I love the scent, I don’t think I would buy this again because I love when my shower gels give a luxurious lather than envelope me.

Kneipp Deep Sleep Mineral Bath Salt - Valerian & Hops

If I am not mistaken, Sebastian Kneipp, one of the founders, a priest who at 28 contracted the deadly [at the time] tuberculous and was cured by hydrotherapy. Which lead him to found Kneipp with his pharmacist friend who shared the same natural product ideologies. Naturally, baths are an excellent way to relax, lull you to sleep, a treat for a hard day at work and for health reasons. While, I knew Kneipp was a good trusted brand -- I was bit wary to try the bath salts. I don’t know why, I am kicking myself for not trying earlier. After returning from exhausting day of errands and family gatherings, I was already super tired, exhausted and sleepy. I decided a bath would have been a perfect way to unwind and take it easy. When I open the packet, the air was flooded of Valerian and Hops [I am not sure what either smells like but I guess it has to be the scent I was sniffing :) ]. The blue salt crystals turned the bath water into a beautiful azure blue color. The color you imagine the water being in tropical islands [and also hiding sharks under their alluring surface]. I immediately slipped in and was immediately transported into a Greek soaking tub. I started to relax; I felt my tension melting away. The water was still fragranced and left my skin softly  scented and my skin soft to the touch. While the blue color didn’t stain my tub, I wouldn’t recommend using anything white near it [towels, mats] or porous colors though. Even after my bath, the scent is still wafting through the air. How was I feeling after the bath and was I able to sleep better? I am having trouble staying awake to write this review but I don’t feel the disgusted I - want - to - sleep - get - out - of - my - way but more like I am at peace and I could go for a nice nap. Which right about now, sounds great. Good night! I am happy to report, I did have a restful deep sleep last night. I am totally in love with this bath salt.

Burt's Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to take better care of myself [yes, in the middle of August I still didn’t accomplish it]. The first part was hauling my lazy butt off the couch and on to the treadmill [still didn’t do it]. Of course, being inactive for a majority of my life -- my muscles were sore and achy. I read really good reviews for these bath crystals and I decided to give these a shot. These natural sea salts are imbued with essential lemon and eucalyptus oils that help melt stress and release lactic acids that build up during physical activity. After soaking in the crystals, my skin felt softer, smoother and I felt a bit more relaxed and refreshed. I can’t believe I am saying this but I can’t wait to another session on the treadmill. Okay, I just want to relax in another bath with these crystals -- we all need a little “me time”  :)

GlamRock Bath Fizzer – Melon Fizz

While glossing over last month’s Fitness issue, I came across an article describing the health benefits of a warm bath. I started thinking, I could go for a bath…after all it had been awhile since I had one. This Bath Fizzer was more of a novelty than an actual bath product. The bath fizzer was covered in gold glitter, which was nice but kind of messy. The scent disappeared rather quickly and it didn’t really leave my skin feeling softer or hydrated.  The bath frizz turned the water first a champagne color and then gradually turned into a caramel color. While I would not use this as my go to bath ball it would make a nice stocking stuffer or a gag gift. On side note, the shape of this bath fizzer reminded me of Paco Rabanne Lady Million perfume.

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy: Sleep - Warm Milk and Honey Body Lotion

The Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy: Sleep - Warm Milk and Honey body lotion has a warm scent that lulls you to sleep. It has a nice creamy texture and moisturizes very well. It has a nice fragrant nutmeg scent. Pair it up with  Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy: Sleep - Warm Milk and Honey Body Wash and Foam Bath to get the most benefit from this product line.

P.S. It comes in a cute glass [or really hard plastic] bottle that can be reused or used as decoration piece!

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy: Sleep - Warm Milk and Honey Body Wash and Foam Bath

My favorite thing about outlet mall shopping is that you come across little beauty gem that sometimes would otherwise go unnoticed. I never knew that Bath and Body Works had an aromatherapy line until I came across this body wash. The scent of warm milk and honey is very faint, the scent remind me more of nutmeg. The scent lingers long after you finish your bath or shower. The body wash has cinnamon and clove essential oils which comforts and calms you for bedtime. I personally didn't notice any change in my sleeping habit or being able to sleep more easily, but I believe that if you follow this regime [body lotion + body wash] consistently with your bedtime routine you might notice some of the benefits.
