Empties 2024!

I am starting off the New Year with a photo of my last empties from 2023. I am will say that it took me almost three months to get this much empties. Oddly enough in the last three months I thought I was going out more and using my products a lot more.  I guess it is an improvement that I finished one mascara during that time. Hopefully, in the next year I can pick up my momentum and start clearing up some old things to make space for the new!

I got the New York Biology Superfood Mask from Amazon a while back. It came in a set of three. I am not sure if its a legit brand because I saw similar masks with same packaging all over. It's hard to tell at times on Amazon which is a legit small company and what is a dupe or a copy.  The mask burned my face when I applied and left my skin really red and sensitive. But after a few uses, my skin did look brighter and look smoother. I do have two more containers to use but I am not in any rush to use them because of how much it burns.

The  Newmiuz Skin Glow Bath Salts smelled amazing but it was disappointing that I had to use entire tub to smell anything in the tub. The bottle was $20 so, that was one very expensive bath. I have another tub in a different scent but I am going to save it for a special occasion.

My hair is three feet long so it's a hassle to wash and take care of it. I also go through shampoo and conditioner like it's no one's business. I saw this Fuya Conditioner and was excited to try it. It had a nice tropical vibe going on but it really didn't smell like anything. As a conditioner, it worked well but otherwise pretty basic.

I tend to get hives and dry spots on my skin after coming in contact with certain things. My skin becomes so annoyingly sensitive that it itches and burns while being dry but nothing really helps. I came across Kiehl's Ultra Facial Advanced Repair Barrier Cream. It is a thick cream but goes on satin-y soft on skin and doesn't feel heavy or greasy on skin. It helps alleviate the dryness without making my skin more sensitive. Definitely a cream I am going to keep stock and an eye out for during sales.

November 2021 Haul Part 2!

Well this year went by so quickly! I feel like it was just the beginning of the year a few days ago. Well, hopefully I make something better out of 2022!

I actually showed some self control this month and didn't go to crazy but, who knows with all the holiday sales. I tried cutting back but, honestly, that's no fun.

I got a few masks from Miss Spa and Yes to. I am excited to try them and they were on sale at the drugstore. I love a good buy one get one free deal. I have tried a few masks from these brands and I wouldn't mind trying them again.

I got some bath products from Sumbody. I used to use their organic all natural stuff a lot before I moved and I just recently re-discovered the brand. I got a few of their soaps, bath melts, and salt scrubs bon bons. I also got a few skin care items like their facial mist, their mud mask, in shower masks and aromatherapy balm.  I tried the aromatherapy roll on and it smells so relaxing and divine. I am hoping that their bath products smell this good too.

I am really excited to try the Lancome Renergie H.C.F Triple serum as not only does the bottle look cool but, this serum was a whopping $135 before taxes! I am hoping this futuristic bottle gives me skin from 20 years ago. While I was shopping I came across some bath salts and soap from Margot Elena. I used to have her subscriptions years ago and did like her stuff but, I wasn't using it fast enough and then after awhile I got tired of the same stuff over and over. I managed to finish my previous stockpile so, I might be interested in restarting that subscription depending on how crazy I go over the holidays.

Did you get anything exciting this month?

November 2021 Haul!

October just came and went right like a blur! I got a few things this month and I am surprised I didn't get carried away like I normally do every time. I did end up spending a lot of money on food and experiences though.

There is a few things I got that I am excited for. I like L'Occitane and sometimes, have a love and hate relationship with their stuff. I got a huge brick of soap and their rich body cream that I am looking forward to using during the colder months.

I am trying to use more facial sheet mask because my face gets so dry and dull during the colder months. I got this reboot mask from Baby Face and it reminds me of those baby foot mask that removes all dead skin and leaves my foot sooo soft. I hope this mask leaves my face soft but, I can do without the insane peeling on my face. I really love Facetory's branded face mask and they redid the formulation for the Ace that Face mask. I loved the original so, I am excited to try the new one.

I got a sleeping mask and the water cream from Laneige that I am excited to try. I have tried a few samples from them and thought they were good. I own several of their lip mask. I like the bubble gum scent but, I think there are better lip masks out there. I recently discovered cleansing balm and I bought a new one from Yadah. This one will be my third one and I am excited to see how it fares against the Glow Recipe and the Farmacy one.

September 2021 Empties!

Wow, I can't believe September is almost over. It feels like the year just started a few days ago. I am super excited I finished a few things but, unfortunately nothing was amazing.

I have been using the Moroccanoil treatments for years and love using it. A little drop goes a long way and makes my hair feeling soft and shiny. I love lip oils but, I didn't really care for the Yensa lip oil because I have to kept re-applying and it would literally just disappear after a sip of water.

I was excited to try the Jelly Mask by Acure but, thought it was pretty disappointing. I didn't really notice any results. I did like the Eminence Organic Skin Care Apricot Whip Moisturizer though. It was creamy and smells so delicious. My skin felt so hydrated and soft after application.

I have mixed feelings about Akar Skin Pure Lip Restoration. I bought two of this from different stores and each one sent me a different one. One is in a tin and the other in glass jar and I found that formula to be almost similar but, one felt a bit different and lasted longer.

August 2021 Empties Part 2!

Wow August is gone! I can't believe its only 4 more months before the end of the year. The year has flown by and once again I felt like I didn't do anything really productive with my life....I guess though this month was productive because I did finish quite a few things this month.

I started using this new lip mask from Fresh Rose Lip Cream and found it leave my lips soft without being greasy. I used the new Facetory Oats My Bananas mask and loved it. I am excited that they are expanding their own offerings and that they are very affordable. I am adding both masks to my night time routine.

I been using waterproof mascara a lot more lately because the heat has been so oppressive lately. I started using the Yensa CBD Superfood Dual Cleansing Oil to remove the mascara more easily from my eyes. The cleansing oil does have some foaming action but, not my favorite cleansing oil.

I suffer from insomnia so, I was intrigued when I saw Milk Makeup Melatonin Overnight Lip Mask. I thought it was okay and I would get it again if it was on sale. I do think that it did last longer than other overnight lip mask. The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask had a sweet scent and had a bit of sticky/tacky base. I liked putting it on but, I noticed that when I drank water the mask would come off. I would definitely use less than more with this product.

I started using this new hair mask called Virtue Restorative Treatment Mask and thought it was interesting. It definitely left my hair smelling nice and feeling soft and shiny. I liked my Akar lip balm so, when I saw their face oil I decided to get it. I thought it was okay. I have tried other face oils that had better results. I felt that the oil just sat on the top and didn't really absorb into my skin.

June 2021 Haul Part 2!

Oh boy, the heat is on! I just want to stay near an AC and not move. I would like to say that the heat has helped me curb my spending and I been using more things but, that would be a lie. Unfortunately, I haven't finished as many things as I did in the last few weeks....one day..

I got a few new lip products that I am excited to try. I got my first Bobbi Brown lipstick in Brocade. It's such a lovely color. I got another KVD lippie in K-Dub. I feel like I had this color already. I went into this new (to me) organic beauty store and got two new lip products - Tower 28 (I already own stuff from the brand but, a new shade - Chill) and Lip Whip in Peppermint Tinted. I go through lip balm like a crazy person so, I am excited to add a few new ones to my lineup.

I have a few lip products from Dose of Colors so, I decided to try one of their eyeshadow singles - Nightsky. It's a gorgeous dark green shimmery color -- it would make the perfect smokey eye. I have tried a few of Dennis Gross's products and I am excited to the new Meltaway Cleanser. The name alone makes it sound creamy and it would remove even the toughest makeup looks.

Regardless of the season, I suffer from dry skin. I saw that Mudmasky had a winter leave on mask and I decided to try it. It's supposed to help with super dry skin and I get that year round. I hoping it shows results after one use. I have heard good things about the brand, Bloomeffects that I got their cult favorite product - the Royal Tulip Nectar. The name sounds awesome and it sounds super hydrating.

Is there anything you got new this month that you are excited to try?

July 2020 Haul Part 2!

Ahh, July is almost over! Thank God, and can you please take this unbearable heat wave with you (and COVID virus with you too -- please and thank you!)?

Another month into lockdown and one would assume that my skin would be amazing with all the extra time I am devoting to taking care of it...Nope! I am getting so many breakouts along my jawline and it's leaving ugly acne scars and dark spots. I have double down on the skincare and hopefully, it works and I just don't sweat it off.

I bought some more masks from Facetory. I like that they have a wide range of masks available at affordable prices. I am really excited to try the watermelon mask by Holika Holika. I bought a few lip products from Bite Beauty, Too Faced, Fluide, and Huda. I love lipsticks but, the last two lipsticks I opened melted and fell on to the floor. Argh! Brand new lipsticks all over the cream-colored carpet. I guess I am sticking to liquid products for right now.

I restocked the Nivea In-Shower wash off lotion because right now it's just too hot for my skin to even come into contact with anything. I just can't. I bought a few new body washes from Red Flower and Skin & Co. I hope the fragrance lasts on my skin past the shower.  I have used a few body washes lately that have no staying power and that's exactly what I need when my skin starts to smell less than perfect.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts! Hopefully I will have finished a few of these in the next 2-3 months :)

June 2020 Haul Part 2!

It feels like it has been forever since I was able to leave home and go about life. However, I am not complaining because the heat lately has been a killer and I can barely step foot outside before running back in to hide under a fan. I am also glad to still have a job which allows me to buy more things...hahah

I would like to say I tried to show restraint in the last few weeks but, that's an absolute lie. I bought ten new nail polishes (not pictured) and I didn't even open them but, the colors just make me so happy. I also got a bunch of lip products even though no one will see them but me. I have been wearing bold lipsticks while reading at night. A different color for each new book. I am excited to try the dark red Coloured Raine lipstick and the red lipstick from Lipstick Queen. I own several LP products but, not this specific shade. I also restocked my oils and creams since I am going through them like crazy. I feel like as soon as a bit of skincare hits my skin, I just sweat the whole thing off. I am looking forward to trying the Kypris (look at that fancy label!) and the Akar facial oil.

Even though I usually reserve taking baths during the winter, I still crave one every so often. I came across these bubble bars at Walgreens. They have a bit of a chemical scent but, they were a lot cheaper than Lush. I am hoping that once the bubble bar hits the water, it starts smelling delicious.

Has anyone tried any of these items? If so, let me know!

June 2020 Haul

I realize I have a habit of mass buying things when I like it. I go through phases where I would buy all the niche nail polish, different lipsticks, tons of Lush products, and my latest addiction - sheet mask. I definitely have a tendency of stocking piling things before I can even finish using them. Thankfully now that majority of us are home all day, I made a promise to myself that I can still shop but, I have to use up my stuff more. I have been trying to use at least 25 sheet masks a month. I am giving myself some leeway for days where all I want to do is sleep or don't want to move. So far, last month I managed to finish around 37 sheet masks! I am definitely proud of myself.

I decided to replenish my stock from Facetory since I am "running low". Facetory is becoming my new "Memebox". Memebox has its own private labels such as I Dew Care, Nooni, and Kaja.  I have tried a few masks from both Memebox's  I Dew Care and Facetory and found them both to be affordable and work well. I am also excited to try the seaweed mask (the last line on the bottom) and the 3 steps masks from Wonjin Effect. Thankfully, since I been remaining indoors and doing a lot of self-care my skin hasn't been acting up too much but, usually during the season changes my skin likes to revolt.

Check back in a few weeks and let's see what I finished! Also, please let me know your thoughts on the new format. I  must say I really do miss writing reviews at times but, other times it was really a big-time suck.....and now I get more time to just play with all the things I bought. (Also, I think if you are new to Facetory, existing users can send you a discount for your first purchase. Hit me up if you need that! I have tons of points from my recent haul to spare)
