Levels Natural Shower Bomb

This was the first time I ever heard of Shower Bombs.  But being an avid fan of bath bombs, I figured I would give this a try. The gluten free shower bombs were easy to use. Just drop them near direct water away from the drain. Each bomb was packed with organic menthol, eucalyptus and tea tree essential oil to relax and clear away stress. I love the bombs, they felt like being at a spa but private in home experience. I wouldn’t recommend using these as bath bombs as the mint might causes some unwanted tingling sensations. The minty scent was not super strong and I love how relax I felt. I used these when I was feeling a bit under the weather and I usually perk up right afterwards. Even though each shower bomb is individually wrapped, I recommend using them as soon as possible because the first two I used right away within 2 weeks apart and I forgot about them until 2 months later and they didn’t smell as strong as before. One of the shower bombs was so weak, I didn’t even realize it was in the shower with me until I accidentally stepped on it.

Seductively French Citrus Sorbet Body Lotion

I had a gift card from the holidays and I came across this body lotion and I thought I would give it a try. It was pretty expensive at $38 at 8oz. I figured it either has to be really good or it’s mediocre and I just overpaid. The sweet scented sorbet body lotion went on smoothly almost like whipped cream. The body lotion is 98% natural and 83% organic ingredients and is formulated without parabens, phthalates, synthetic coloring, DEA, silicone, PEG, PGG and aluminum. The sumptuous body lotion is packed  with green tea, aloe, and shea butter that absorbed quickly into my skin and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. I loved putting on this soft decadent lotion and waking up with softer, smoother and delicately scented.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer Fair to Medium Skin Tones

Before Photo

After Photo

Before you ask, what is a brown skin person using a self-tanner, I wanted to see what the fuss about. Most people think having brown skin means you don’t get cellulite or it becomes less visible. I can sadly say, this is not the case. The tanning lotion didn’t make the cellulite less noticeable...er...I mean..what cellulite? The tanner promises a “natural - looking color that's streak-free, hassle-free and with our breakthrough patent-pending technology, now has no sunless tanner odor.” While the tanner wasn’t completely odorless, it just wasn’t as strong as many others. I didn’t notice any streaks mostly because the color gradually appears when you apply the lotion daily.  After applying, don’t be fooled by the white lotion, wash your hands otherwise you will end up with tell tale orange hands [trust me], but imparted a soft golden bronze color on my skin. As a side note, make sure to apply a thin layer and not to double up anywhere thinking you missed a spot otherwise you will get splotches. And try to go easy on the drier areas, like knees, ankles, elbows, and knuckles or it looks a bit weird. While I rarely burn, I don’t get a golden color [sadly]. But I must say, I don’t think that golden color is something found naturally in nature. The color started to fade by day 3 and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a “little color” should try it or as soon as we invent the technology, I will be more than happy to share my natural brown color :}

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

For my 26th birthday, I decided  to tour Copenhagen [and Arhus], Paris, Amsterdam and Kiles for my birthday. While I thought I was enriching my soul and spirit I didn't realize that I was ruining my hair in the process. My hair sadly, no matter how much conditioner, oils and love I put in it,  I was still getting a dry scalp. I had bought a travel size packet of this to use during a down day as way for when I got homesick I had something familiar. The macadamia, argan, tea tree, and chamomile oil enriched hair masque made my frizzy dry hair super smooth and soft. While I find the mask very rich and  `heavy´, I found using a small amount or mixing it regular conditioner does a better job as it wouldn’t make my hair feel weighed down. The deep conditioning masque is also packed with aloe and algae extract that left hair smell yummy and not overpowering. I love this masque although it is a bit pricey, I will be bringing it whenever I travel.

Crazy Rumor Bee My Honey Lip Balm

The 100% all natural, cruelty free and vegan friendly is sweet scented like honey. The shea butter packed lip balm is moisturizing and left my lips soft and smooth. The lip balm is highly addictive as it left my lip with a sweet taste. I actually preferred it a lot more than Burt’s Bees Honey lip balm.

LA Fresh Eco Beauty Natural Waterproof Makeup Remover

I love wipes, they are so easy and convenient to use. I tend to keep some by my bed, on my bathroom counter and in my desk at work. Because lets be honest who has time to wash their face when there is a DVR full of TV and over-demanding calendar. I was interested in using these wipes because they are all natural and packed with good for your ingredients [and being 100% biodegradable] and without the nasty parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals and dyes. The wipes is enriched with 6 blend oil of Olive, Jojoba, Sesame, Grapeseed, Vitamin E and Lavender. These wipes didn’t do a good job of wiping off my makeup. I had to rub the wipes really hard to get my makeup off and it still left with traces of makeup behind. Even though the wipes promises no greasy residue, it did make my face shiny and moisturized. I am guessing, its most likely because of the 6 oil blend cocktail. I tend to like my wipes to leave my skin matte and then follow up with moisturizer.

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter

I love mangoes and I am quite fond of Burt’s Bees lip balm so I thought this would be the perfect combination. Although the person who thought “Fruit” and “Cake” would be a great idea is sadly mistaken. The lip balm is infused with nourishing mango butter that promises to smooth and hydrate dry chapped lips. I like the fruit scent of the lip balm and I believe there was a slight mangoey taste. My only misgiving is that my lips didn’t stay hydrated and I was constantly re-applying -- granted it could be my fault that it smelled so sweet and tasted so yummy I kept licking the lip balm off.

The Honest Company Purely Simple Lip Balm

This lip balm is originally sold in a pack of three with two other flavors but I am not sure if this is from the pack I bought or the one I got from my Glossybox subscription. It could be very be the one I tried from the subscription and then bought the lip balm set. Why am I bringing this up, frankly I have no idea...haha! Moving on, the lip balm went on like butter and left my lips soft and smooth. I didn’t notice a scent or taste to the lip balm. Which is good because I have a tendency of licking off my lip balm, especially those Strawberry Lip Smackers [*sigh*].  I did like how the ingredients list was all natural and easy to read. So, even if I did “accidentally” manage to taste a bit, I don’t have to worry about it. If you are a fan of Burt’s Bees Lip Balms, you should definitely give this a try.

Burt's Bees Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion

The hypoallergenic dermatologist tested is made for sensitive skin and clinically proven to provide  moisturization.  The 99% natural lotion is packed with natural extracts of aloe, buttermilk, chamomile, calendula, St. John’s Wort, rosemary and linden flower to smooth and soothe achy skin. The lotion absorbed quickly but left my hand feeling sticky and the lotion doesn’t smell very pleasant. It is not the worst lotion I have ever used but I am not really into the scent and my sticky fingers afterwards.

Gud Natural Body Butter Orange Petalooza Blood Orange Flower

Gud is created by the creators of Burt’s Bees, so it is not formulated with any parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals. The thick body butter has shea butter to help alleviate dry skin. This rich and creamy lotion is very moisturizing but it is a bit greasy. It does absorb quickly and leaves a scent of blood orange and hyacinth.  I personally, didn’t like the scent very much but I did like how my skin felt  after applying the body butter. I think next time, I will try another one of the other 5 scents available.
